JD – INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY RESOURCE TEACHER (ITRT)

The Instructional Technology Resource Teacher (ITRT) provides instruction and assists in integrating technology solutions into all academic areas by incorporating technology equipment, software, systems and other resources into the overall educational program.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of successful teacher experience with proven skills in technology integration in the classroom

• Master’s degree in Instructional Technology or working toward a nationally recognized technology certification, such as NETS*T

• Considerable knowledge of and experience in the usage of hardware, technology systems and software programs available at the building level

• Possess the ability to work with educators at various technology skill levels and have the coaching skills to move them forward to enhance their technology usage level in the classroom

• Possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills

• Strong ability to design and deliver technology training to students, teachers, administrators and other personnel in the school system.

• Be extremely familiar and well-versed in Instructional Systems Design as a major component in working with teachers in the total technology integration process

• Have a detailed understanding of various instructional practices necessary to meet the needs of an extremely diverse student population that includes gifted, accelerated learners, at-risk, EL and special needs children.

Reports to: Principal and Supervisor of Technology Services

Terms of Employment:   Ten-month contract.  Salary to be established by the School Board.

Evaluation:  Evaluation on this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with School Board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of certificated personnel.
