Computer Lab Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To provide instruction and assistance to students engaged in computer learning and instructional activities.
Qualifications:
have at least 60 hours of college credit, pass the ParaPro tests or have earned a higher education diploma,
be at least 21 years of age,
be of good physical and emotional health,
possess good character and leadership qualities, and
display an interest and ability in working with students with disabilities.
Reports to: Building Principal
Performance Responsibilities:
comply with designated work hour schedules,
comply with assignments and extracurricular duties outlined by the principal,
comply with all school board policies and State laws relative to special education classroom operations,
utilize planning time effectively,
provide for the individual needs, abilities and interests of the students,
exhibit the necessary physical, mental and emotional ability to execute duties as outlined by the principal,
provide instruction and assistance to students in the use and application of computer aided learning and instructional software
provide assistance to students in accessing and utilization of computer resources
facilitate testing activities
perform basic troubleshooting of computers, software, and peripheral equipment
perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Terms of Employment: Ten-months a year with salary to be established by the Franklin County School Board
Evaluation: Performance on this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the School Board’s policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of classified personnel.
