Instructional/Data Coach (FCHS)
TITLE: INSTRUCTIONAL/DATA COACH (FCHS)
Grant Funded 2 year position
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The role of the Instructional/Data Coach is a ten-month, plus 20 day school-based position whose focus and accountability is supporting teachers and building personnel as a facilitator, collaborator, and mentor in their efforts towards improving students' achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Masters
● Excellent communication skills
● Strong interpersonal and team building skills
● Possesses an understanding of how to facilitate growth in adults
● Five years of successful, effective teaching as evidenced by student performance data and the ability to:
○ Assess students' thinking and understanding
○ Manipulate data
○ Present data in an applicable and functional manner
○ Use multiple data collection and analysis tools
○ Clearly connect data to instructional decision-making
○ Employ effective instructional Strategies based on data
● Experience in modeling, observing, and providing informal feedback about instruction for classroom teachers
● Proven track record regarding professionalism and leadership qualities
REPORTS TO: Campus Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Analyze student work
● Monitor student progress
● Support departments in collecting and Interpreting assessment data
● Provide professional development for departments or whole faculty
● Participate in department team meetings
● Observe and provide feedback about instruction for classroom teachers
● Participate in professional development opportunities with faculty teams
● Model and co-teach lessons with classroom teacher
● Other responsibilities as assigned by Campus Principal
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten-month (plus 20 day) year. Salary to be established by the School Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of certificated personnel.
