Bus Lot Attendant

TITLE:                                   BUS LOT ATTENDANT

 

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:            To assist in keeping all school board owned vehicles in efficient

operating condition and to provide custodial care within the operations compound.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                  1.  Must have a high school diploma or GED.

 

                                                2.  Must have a good driving record and a Virginia driver’s permit

                                                    with a S classification, or will meet this requirement upon

                                                    employment.

 

                                                3.  Has demonstrated a previous dependable work and

                                                    attendance record.

 

REPORTS TO:                       Shop Foreman

 

PERFORMANCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:              1.  Fuels all vehicles on the school bus lot daily and assists with

                                                    keeping all buses and vehicles clean.

 

                                                2.  Maintains proper oil level in all vehicles that attendant fuels.

 

                                                3.  Keeps all work areas clean and maintained.

 

4.  Handles specific responsibilities assigned by the shop  

     foreman.

 

5.  Assists the school bus drivers in any way feasible.

 

6.  Develops good work habits:  be at work on time, return tools

     after using, keep accurate records, etc.

 

                                                7.  Assists in some maintenance jobs when assigned.

 

                                                8.  Assists with the state inspection of vehicles.

 

TERMS OF

EMPLOYMENT:                      Salary and conditions to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:                         Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance

with the Board’s policy and administrative regulations on the evaluation of classified personnel.
