Job Summary

This position will focus on supporting teachers and students in reading and math from a curriculum and instructional standpoint. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Support Reading and Math Curriculum K-5

·         Support Reading and Math Instruction

·         Support the integration of technology into instruction: platforms like LEXIA, IKL, Zearn

·         Data Analysis in the building

·         Support the Intervention Process

·         Attend district meetings once per month

·         Support teachers in co-teaching and modeling best instructional practices

·         Perform other duties as assigned by district staff

 

Minimum Requirements

·         Bachelor’s Degree required

·         Reading or Math Specialist endorsement, or Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction preferred (or in process)

·         At least three (3) years of successful, full-time experience as an elementary teacher

·         Have demonstrated the leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and administration.

Terms of Employment

This position is a 10 month (200 day) position.  Salary to be established by the school board.

 

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with School Board’s policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of classified personnel.
