BFMS Guidance Secretary

TITLE:            BFMS GUIDANCE SECRETARY

 

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:        

The school guidance secretary assists guidance counselors to be successful in their roles.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Possess a GED, high school diploma, or higher

·         Be at least 21 years of age

·         Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills

·         Proficient in computer use – “specifically google apps”

·         Able to multi-task

·         Detail oriented and maintain confidentiality

·         Ability to work successfully with parents, students and co-workers

 

 

REPORTS TO:          Campus Principal

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Maintain student records

·         Updating Power School (the student data base)

·         Filing

·         Scheduling guidance appointments

·         Preparing print shop orders and copying

·         Preparing and mailing transcripts

·         Answering telephone

·         Preparing the Program of Studies

·         Other duties that may be assigned

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:                       This is a 10-month position.  Salary and conditions to be                                                                  established by the Franklin County School Board.

 

 

EVALUATION:            Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the                                       school board’s policy and administrative regulations of classified                                                     personnel.
