Adult Education Regional Program Manager (Region 12)

Job Summary

The Regional Program Manager (PM) shall provide leadership to each of the six Adult Education Programs within the West Piedmont Adult Education Region (Region 12) by coordinating services to adult learners, providing staff development for teachers and tutors, and working with the Workforce Development Boards (WDB) to accomplish the goals of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (MOA) including grants applications and the duties of the grants and regional Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1.      Be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, implementing, and evaluating adult education services in 
  the region including outreach and recruitment of adult learners; collection and reporting of student data in a
  manner consistent with NRS and OAEL requirements; ensuring delivery of a high-quality adult education
  instruction by welltrained and qualified teachers; and collaboration with agencies, career centers, community
  colleges, community-based organizations, and employers.

2.       Provide leadership and program development consistent with OAEL priorities including, but not limited to:

a.  Integration of program management and instructional standards into curricula and classroom instruction;

b. Workforce development activities;

c.  Transition of adult learners to postsecondary education or employment;

d.     Leadership for implementation of WIOA;

e.  Continuous program improvement, including efforts to meet or exceed state and federal performance  
      targets;

f.        Use of data for program improvement;

g.      Use of technology as a management and instructional tool;

h.     Provide and ensure professional development for instructors as required by state priorities;

l.     Be responsible for fiscal reports to OAEL for reimbursements.

3.      Develop or update the multi-year plan and annual application for funding required by federal and state legislation
  and priorities.

4.      Be responsible for compliance with monitoring and evaluation activities conducted by OAEL staff.

Terms of Employment

This position is a 12 month position. Salary and conditions to be established by the Franklin County School Board.

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with School Board's policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of professional personnel.
