Plumbing Instructor
TITLE PLUMBING INSTRUCTOR
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Must have a high school diploma or GED.
2. . Must possess required certification or license and skill in Plumbing
(Journeyman or Masters) and be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s
License.
3. Five years of experience in the field is preferred.
4. Must be knowledgeable of environmental technology (EPA and OSHA) and
various effective teaching techniques.
5. Must be sensitive to student population, flexible and be able to
follow policies and procedures.
6. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Some computer
skills with Microsoft Word, Internet and Intranet access are required.
REPORTS TO Building Administrator
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Planning, conducting and assessing instructional activities to include safety, proper use of tools, math, types of pipes and fittings and plumbing fixtures.
2. Must maintain educational records.
3. Inventory and tool control logs.
4. Track achievement of desired program outcomes by coordinating and administering tests in accordance with accepted reporting procedures.
5. Develop alternative instruction for individualized and independent study.
6. Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Principal or other appropriate administrators.
TERMS OF
EMPLOYMENT: Salary and conditions to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board’s policy and administrative regulations of certificated personnel.
