Psst! We're moving!
Liang Qian’s prairie-dog-like scream made the security guard want to chase them away immediately.
Zhao Mingri squatted beside him outside the security office and asked, “So you’ve solved it—tell me who sent them.”
Liang Qian showed him his phone and whispered, “You know the math representative from Class One of the main campus? It was her. I’m telling you, the band-aid on Brother Yang’s face must have been sent by her.”
That’s why he suddenly thought of this connection—because there were very few girls close enough to Chen Yang, and yesterday there was that whole incident with the band-aid.
He had already suspected something back then.
All the strange events of the past few days—they had all seen them. Who would believe they were meaningless?
Why hadn’t they seen Chen Yang tease other girls like this before?
“Brother Yang told us to handle it ourselves,” Zhao Mingri stroked his chin. “In this situation, should we still return them?”
Liang Qian said, “What’s the point of returning them?”
If someone else had sent them, returning them would make sense. But now that they knew it was Le Ya, they obviously couldn’t send them back.
The most important thing was the note!
Zhao Mingri said, “Then tell him. Otherwise, he won’t know, and he definitely won’t come to pick them up. Hurry up and take them so we can go eat.”
But Liang Qian waved his hand dismissively. “I’ll go eat first. Brother Yang is probably eating too. Let’s deal with this after lunch.”
He deliberately wanted to delay things a bit.
The two of them didn’t return to the school building but went directly to a small restaurant outside. After eating for half an hour, they leisurely strolled back to school.
Liang Qian discovered that his newly purchased crab roe sauce was indeed quite delicious.
Now, only one security guard remained in the office. Seeing them enter again, he urged, “Hurry up and take the packages, or we’ll return them.”
Zhao Mingri said, “Don’t rush, we’ll definitely take them today.”
Liang Qian sent a message: “Bro, I found out who sent the packages. Do you want to know?”
There was no reply from the other side.
Zhao Mingri slapped him on the back, exasperated. “Are you bored? Why don’t you just say it outright?”
Given Chen Yang’s personality, how could he possibly ask them questions?
Liang Qian chuckled softly. Having uncovered such a big answer, couldn’t he enjoy gloating about it a little?
However, his fingers still tapped out a few words quickly.
Liang Qian: The phone number on the delivery box belongs to someone from Class One.
Liang Qian: It just so happens to be Le Ya’s.
After sending it, Liang Qian waited for a reply.
Before he could turn to brag to Zhao Mingri, the other side replied.
C: ?
Zhao Mingri leaned over to look and slapped his thigh. “I knew Brother Yang must have been looking at his phone earlier. If you had just said it directly, he would have replied.”
Liang Qian said, “Instant reply.”
Though it was just a question mark, it meant he had seen the content of the message and was asking whether they had thrown the packages away or returned them.
Zhao Mingri said, “Are we going to reply and say we haven’t returned them yet?”
He suddenly thought of playing a prank.
Liang Qian glanced at him. “You’re probably tired of living.”
Zhao Mingri shrugged. “It was Brother Yang himself who told us to handle it. He told us to return them—it wasn’t my idea.”
If they hadn’t found out who sent them, they’d probably regret it to death.
Later, they might even have to chase down the packages.
Liang Qian sighed and refused to continue the topic. “Alright, let’s wait for Brother Yang to come. He shouldn’t be late.”
They’d probably see him soon.
If they didn’t, it probably meant he intended for them to handle it themselves.
Just as Zhao Mingri was about to speak, he looked up and saw a figure emerging from the teaching building. “Wow, here he comes.”
There were fewer people in the school cafeteria now.
After finishing their meal, Le Ya and Xie Qingyu bought some snacks from the school store and headed back toward the teaching building.
Many students had gone out to eat during lunchtime, so there were even fewer people on campus.
Xie Qingyu munched on her snack while asking, “Why did you stay up so late last night? You liked my post on Moments in the middle of the night—I was already asleep by then.”
“Dad came home late last night,” Le Ya fibbed slightly. “I fell asleep shortly after liking your post.”
Xie Qingyu didn’t suspect anything. “I’m so jealous of your skin.”
Staying up late didn’t give her pimples or dark circles—it was as smooth as a peeled hard-boiled egg, the kind of skin she dreamed of having.
Le Ya didn’t respond; her thoughts had already wandered elsewhere.
Last night, after replying briefly, she had turned off her phone and pretended to sleep, but in reality, she hadn’t slept at all.
Mainly because she felt embarrassed listening to the song afterward.
No one had ever sung such a straightforward song to her, especially since the person had initially claimed he couldn’t sing.
Le Ya’s heart felt restless.
She changed the subject. “… Let’s not talk about last night. Class starts in half an hour—let’s hurry back.”
Xie Qingyu nodded. “Alright.”
They walked in silence, and Le Ya absentmindedly drifted off into thought again.
“… Hey, the security office is over there,” Xie Qingyu’s voice interrupted her thoughts. “Let’s check if our packages are there.”
The school store was inside the school, and walking from the cafeteria toward the Senior Three teaching building would pass by the school gate, where they could also see the security office.
Le Ya snapped back to reality. “The delivery guy said they’ve already arrived.”
Before Xie Qingyu could respond, she noticed two people near the security office. “They bought stuff too, huh? Look at those big boxes.”
Hearing this, Le Ya looked over.
Two or three delivery boxes were piled outside the security office, and a tall figure was leaning against the doorframe, his back facing them.
Le Ya glanced at her phone, where the deliveryman had sent pictures.
Liang Qian carried down the last delivery box from above.
Then he turned to look at Chen Yang standing at the entrance, saying, “Because the delivery guy failed to obscure the phone number properly, hahaha, so I took it upon myself to ask around. Never expected to actually get it right.”
Thinking about the deliveryman’s mistake made him laugh.
Even he found it miraculous—it was purely based on his own wild guess linking it to Le Ya. If not for that leap of imagination, he wouldn’t have cracked the case.
Chen Yang calmly remarked, “What a coincidence.”
Liang Qian chuckled mischievously. “Yeah, it’s quite the coincidence.”
Sure enough, his guess was correct. If they had returned the packages earlier, they would probably be filled with regret now. The fact that Chen Yang showed up right after they mentioned it only highlighted its significance.
Chen Yang didn’t say a word.
On the ground were three large delivery boxes stacked together, reaching just below his waist, with the shipping labels facing outward.
In plain sight, a single line of text was clearly written on them:
“A person who has a crush on me.”
Chen Yang curved his lips slightly, thinking about the timid girl from last night and wondering how she came up with the idea to send him these things.
Suddenly, a soft voice came from behind. “What are you guys doing?”
At the sound of the familiar voice, Liang Qian turned around and saw Le Ya standing not far away, looking utterly confused. “You’re here?”
Had the rightful owner come to personally pick up her package?
Le Ya noticed that Chen Yang was still holding one of the boxes and immediately became furious, assuming they were taking someone else’s packages.
She hurried over. “Why are you taking someone else’s packages?”
Liang Qian was bewildered, muttering, “Someone else’s packages?”
Wasn’t this Brother Yang’s package? How did it suddenly become someone else’s? Was he still not fully awake after leaving the house today?
Zhao Mingri leaned over and whispered, “What’s going on?”
Liang Qian shook his head, made a “shh” gesture, glanced at Chen Yang, and decided to keep quiet for now.
Chen Yang turned around, locking eyes with her.
He pointed at the delivery boxes and asked, “What does this have to do with you?”
Hearing his casual tone, as if he didn’t care about the packages at all, her delicate brows instantly knitted together.
Le Ya was especially angry. This matter was significant to her. She said, “Even if it has nothing to do with me, you can’t take someone else’s packages.”
Chen Yang raised an eyebrow. Someone else’s packages?
He paused for a moment, then casually leaned against the wall and deliberately said, “Since it has nothing to do with you, don’t meddle in other people’s affairs.”
Hearing this, Le Ya became even angrier.
Though she was intimidated, thinking about their actions, she couldn’t accept it. “Why are you throwing away someone else’s packages? I never expected you to be this kind of person. You…”
Chen Yang toyed with the object in his hand. “This kind of person?”
Seeing Le Ya glaring at him furiously, his gaze darkened. Her slender neck looked as if it could snap with a slight twist.
It seemed like he had some sort of illness.
Chen Yang rolled his tongue and laughed softly. “Hmm, isn’t it normal for someone like me to do something like this?”
Le Ya realized reasoning with him was futile.
After a long pause, Chen Yang finally hummed and said, “Do you want to keep them?”
Le Ya nodded.
Chen Yang slightly bent down, leaning toward her, and deliberately said, “Not necessarily impossible.”
“Brother,” Liang Qian tried to interrupt, intentionally avoiding calling him “Brother Yang” as before.
After all, these were the packages she bought. Why did it escalate into an argument? He couldn’t understand why Le Ya still didn’t know Chen Yang’s name and why the atmosphere was so tense.
Liang Qian continued, “Or maybe—”
Chen Yang interrupted impatiently, “Liang Qian, why do you talk so much?”
Liang Qian, called out by name, saw his expression and could only choose to shut up. He glanced at Le Ya, who was still in the dark, and sighed deeply.
These two really knew how to create drama.
Le Ya looked at him suspiciously. “What do you want to do?”
The sunlight was perfect at noon, at its strongest but not harsh since autumn was approaching—it was warm and soothing.
Her entire figure was bathed in the sunlight. Her soft hair clung gently to her ears, and her eyes shimmered like a butterfly resting there.
Chen Yang moved his arm, staring at her for a long time before slowly saying, “Just like last time.”
To ensure she remembered, he reminded her, “In the washroom.”
Le Ya’s eyes widened slightly, unable to believe it.
Did he want her to call him “Big Brother” again or beg him once more?
Chen Yang tilted his head and smirked at her. “Don’t want to?”
He stood at the entrance, the doorframe outlining his entire figure. His clear, bright eyes were impossible to look away from.
Liang Qian, completely clueless about the situation, had no idea what the “washroom” reference meant or what had happened.
He just felt that something about this situation seemed off.
Zhao Mingri, mostly entertained, looked eager, almost ready to pull out his phone to record the scene for later enjoyment.
Liang Qian raised his hand. “Say—”
Before he could get another word out, Chen Yang turned his head to look at him.
Liang Qian met his calm gaze, and the rest of his words got stuck in his throat. He realized it was better to stay quiet.
After a few seconds of silence, Chen Yang said, “You two go out first.”
Zhao Mingri, who had been secretly watching the show, responded with an “Oh,” tugging Liang Qian. The two slipped past Chen Yang and left, planning to return later since they still needed to help carry the packages.
Knowing too much, they felt like they might be silenced.
Chen Yang turned back to Le Ya, quietly waiting.
Le Ya’s face flushed red, managing to squeeze out only three words: “You’re dreaming.”
Upon hearing this, Chen Yang wasn’t angry. “Still refusing to say?”
Le Ya had been forced to speak last time and didn’t want to give in this time because this person was simply perverted. No amount of justification could erase that.
Who forces someone to call them “Big Brother”?
Le Ya lowered her head, looking at the ground. Her toes instinctively scrunched together, and she could see Chen Yang’s feet in front of her, following the line of his legs upward.
She held her breath and said, “I won’t say it.”
Chen Yang tilted his chin, pretending to stand up and prepare to leave, saying, “Alright, then I’ll take the packages with me.”
There were quite a few packages; taking them all at once wouldn’t be easy.
Le Ya quickly raised her head, seeing his movements, truly believing he was about to take the packages. She grabbed his clothes anxiously, saying, “You can’t leave.”
Chen Yang stopped.
Then his gaze fell below his waist, where her pale fingers clutched the edge of his shirt. They were smooth and delicate, clearly soft to the touch.
He gritted his teeth, letting out a sound from his throat.
Le Ya was startled, retracting her hand and timidly glancing at him. Her eyes began to well up with tears.
Chen Yang met her gaze, pausing for a few seconds.
Le Ya didn’t know what he was thinking, only feeling a bit wronged. She repeated, “You can’t take them.”
Chen Yang turned back, bending down to meet her eye-to-eye. Their faces were mere centimeters apart, their breaths clearly audible.
Unexpectedly, Le Ya’s lashes fluttered.
So cute, Chen Yang thought.
After a moment of thought, he said, “Give me a reason.”
Le Ya looked up, meeting a pair of deep eyes. She bit her lip and said in a small voice, “… I sent them.”
Her voice was so soft that it was barely audible without careful listening.
Seeing Chen Yang’s indifferent reaction, Le Ya, having already admitted to being the sender, decided to throw caution to the wind. “You can’t take them—they’re mine.”
Chen Yang let out a silent laugh, straightening his posture and looking down at her from above. He casually picked up the smallest delivery box.
He slowly read aloud, “The note says ‘secret admirer’…”
His voice was hoarse but enticing.
Le Ya felt as if she were a boiled shrimp, unable to bear those words coming out of his mouth.
Her hands hung by her sides, clutching her clothes tightly. She blurted out, “It’s me—I’m the one who sent them. I have a crush on Chen Yang. I like Chen Yang. Is that not allowed?”
Then she saw the person in front of her smile.
