Psst! We're moving!
Bo Ying was once again amused by He Jingxiu. She shot him a glance, “Can you stop being so down-to-earth?”
“Hmm?” He Jingxiu was driving himself today. He looked at the road ahead and asked with a smile, “This is down-to-earth?”
Bo Ying thought for a moment, “I guess so.”
She honestly said, “After all, I can’t think of anything else.”
He Jingxiu was speechless.
Bo Ying shook the red envelope in her hand and said with a smile, “Dinner’s on me tonight?”
He Jingxiu glanced at her and readily agreed, “Okay, I want a big meal.”
“Can’t you be a little more frugal?” Bo Ying choked, whispering, “Don’t you know that frugality is a virtue?”
He Jingxiu nodded, “I know.”
He pointed to Bo Ying’s red envelope, “But my girlfriend is rich now, isn’t she?”
“...”
Bo Ying couldn’t refute his words and reluctantly compromised, “Alright.”
That night, He Jingxiu showed no awareness that men should pay, and truly let Bo Ying treat him to a big meal.
However, Bo Ying ate most of the big meal herself. He Jingxiu was busy taking care of her and didn’t eat much by the time they left.

After meeting the parents, Bo Ying, He Jingxiu, Sheng Chun, and Pei Yan went on a short trip for a few days.
Due to limited time, they didn’t go far, just wandered around nearby.
However, these few days were enough for the two men.
Because they were completely ignored, and couldn’t interject into any conversation.
When they returned, He Jingxiu suddenly felt fortunate—thank goodness Sheng Chun and Bo Ying were both busy and couldn’t often get together, otherwise these two would eventually go crazy.
Knowing his thoughts, Bo Ying was speechless.
“Sheng Chun isn’t as bad as you make her out to be.”
He Jingxiu argued, “Not bad.”
He looked at Bo Ying, “When you two get together, Pei Yan and I become invisible in front of you.”
Bo Ying looked at him amused, “Mr. He, you’re not yourself now.”
She curved her lips, “Being jealous of other men is one thing, but now you’re jealous of Sheng Chun. Next time, are you going to be jealous of Yao Yao?”
He Jingxiu raised an eyebrow, “It’s not impossible.”
He was candid; if he was jealous, he was jealous.
He was so honest that Bo Ying didn’t know what to say. She touched her nose and said, “Sheng Chun would be sad if she heard you say that about her.”
“Hmm?” He Jingxiu looked up, “No, she wouldn’t.”
He guessed, “Pei Yan’s thoughts are consistent with mine.”
Bo Ying, “...”
Suddenly, she didn’t know whether to pity herself or Sheng Chun.
Nevertheless, He Jingxiu never stopped her from interacting with Sheng Chun.
As long as Sheng Chun was off from filming and Bo Ying wasn’t too busy, the two would occasionally go out shopping and having fun. He Jingxiu and Pei Yan would verbally say they didn’t like the two of them getting together, but as long as they named a location, both were willing to be their drivers.
Occasionally, if they wanted to travel abroad for a couple of days, He Jingxiu and Pei Yan would also help arrange private jets to take them there.
Bo Ying and Sheng Chun both made fun of their behavior as—saying one thing and meaning another.

One day, He Jingxiu accidentally overheard her critiquing him on the phone with Sheng Chun. He shot her a glance, pinched her chubby cheek, and asked in a low voice, “Laughing at me behind my back?”
“No way,” Bo Ying giggled as he tickled her, “I was doing it openly.”
She looked at He Jingxiu and retorted, “Why were you eavesdropping on my call with my best friend?”
He Jingxiu, “...”
He reached out and ruffled her hair, “Hmm, because I missed you.”
Bo Ying choked.
Seeing her speechless expression, He Jingxiu curved his lips, “You don’t miss me?”
“Alright,” Bo Ying conceded, “Just a little bit.”
She hooked her arms around He Jingxiu’s neck, her eyes curving into crescents, “Mr. He, want to go on a date?”
It was spring, and the temperature was gradually warming up, no longer so cold.
After the New Year, Bo Ying no longer returned to work at He Group and went directly to the law firm. When she first arrived at the law firm, she was a little slow to adapt.
She was working overtime every day, just to avoid delays and get up to speed quickly.
Because of her work, He Jingxiu accompanied her to wake up early and work overtime.
But fearing he would disturb her, usually, He Jingxiu would only have the driver drop her off at the law firm entrance at 8 AM and pick her up personally in the evening.
Sometimes, Bo Ying worked overtime until 11 PM, and his car would still be parked in the law firm’s parking lot waiting for her. He never rushed her, nor would he complain to Bo Ying, saying, “I’ve waited for you for so long, why are you so slow?”
He never would.
He Jingxiu supported every decision Bo Ying made.
His support wasn’t just words; he supported her through silent actions behind the scenes.
In a blink of an eye, it had been over a month since she started working at the law firm.
Bo Ying calculated with her fingers; they hadn’t been on a date for over a month.
He Jingxiu looked down at her, “Finished with work?”
“Finished,” Bo Ying said with a smile, “This afternoon and tomorrow, I belong to you.”
He Jingxiu kissed her cheek and agreed with a smile, “Okay.”
The two got ready and left.
After getting in the car, Bo Ying suddenly remembered to ask, “Where are you taking me?”
He Jingxiu, “To see flowers.”
Bo Ying was startled, then chuckled, “See what?”
“Flowers,” He Jingxiu looked at her and asked softly, “It’s spring, the flowers in the botanical garden have bloomed. Didn’t you say you wanted to see them before?”
“When did I say I wanted to--” Halfway through her sentence, Bo Ying paused.
She blinked lightly, remembering something she had said years ago.
It was also spring.
The botanical garden near Bo Ying’s area would be filled with blooming flowers every spring. It even made it to the trending topics every year, with countless tourists coming to enjoy the flowers, and the photos taken were very beautiful.
Bo Ying was envious at the time.
She wanted to go to the botanical garden, so she made a clumsy excuse to ask He Jingxiu out.
He Jingxiu had no choice but to agree, pressured by her persistence.
However, on the day they had arranged, it rained heavily, so their trip to the botanical garden was cancelled. The two of them spent the day sitting by the window at McDonald’s, doing homework while waiting for the rain to stop.

The memory ended, Bo Ying looked at the person next to her in disbelief, opened her mouth and asked, “How could you... even remember such a small thing?”
He Jingxiu chuckled softly, “Don’t you remember too?”
Bo Ying wanted to say, I only remembered because you reminded me, it’s different.
But she swallowed the words before they came out.
He Jingxiu looked at her quiet profile and said softly, “Sorry, it’s been so many years.”
“It’s even better to see them now,” Bo Ying raised her eyebrows, looking at him with a smile, “Your photography skills should have improved since then, right?”
She shook the camera she had brought out, “Take some good photos of me later.”
He Jingxiu caught the loophole in her words, “You mean my photos weren’t good before?”
“Ask yourself,” Bo Ying said mercilessly, “Were your photos good before?”
He Jingxiu, “...”
Alright, his photos weren’t good before.
Bo Ying complained, “You were such a straight man, you know?”
He Jingxiu shot her a glance.
Bo Ying touched her ear, her gaze drifting, and asked uncertainly, “Did I say something wrong?”
He Jingxiu chuckled, “I’ll take good pictures of you later.”
“Hmm.”
The car fell silent for a moment. Bo Ying said, “The last time we couldn’t see it wasn’t my fault, nor yours. It was fate’s doing.”
She said softly, “It probably wanted us to have regrets, and then make up for them.”
That way, everything they were doing now, seemingly boring things, would take on a different meaning.
He Jingxiu knew she was comforting him, and chuckled softly, “Got it.”
He replied.
Bo Ying nodded heavily.

When they were almost at the botanical garden, Bo Ying’s phone chimed several times.
She picked it up and saw messages from Zheng Jinyao, asking where she was and saying she was planning to move to another planet.
Bo Ying: [Why say that? Aren’t you chasing your Professor Shen anymore?]
Not long ago, Zheng Jinyao’s parents’ school started, and she, being idle, was instructed by them to deliver things. She accidentally fell for a young professor who had just returned from abroad to teach, and recently she had been fiercely pursuing him. Even Bo Ying, her best friend, hadn’t seen her for a while.
Of course, Bo Ying didn’t admit that she was busy, and that’s why their meeting times kept clashing.
Zheng Jinyao: [Not chasing anymore.]
Zheng Jinyao: [I’m planning to move to another planet. How about it, want to come with me?]
Bo Ying played along: [Can I bring Jingxiu?]
Zheng Jinyao: [?]
Zheng Jinyao: [We’re moving to another planet! Why are you still feeding me dog food!!!]
Bo Ying replied self-righteously: [Isn’t it because you haven’t caught Professor Shen? When you catch Professor Shen, we’ll move to another planet together.]
Zheng Jinyao: [Can’t catch him.]
Bo Ying: [How so?]
Zheng Jinyao: [I’ll tell you next time we meet. It’s too embarrassing, I don’t want to live anymore!!!]
Bo Ying was amused by her, and replied with a curved lip: [You tell me first, I’ll laugh at you and then you can not live.]
Zheng Jinyao: [Blocked.]
Of course, she wouldn’t actually block her, but since Zheng Jinyao wouldn’t say, Bo Ying had no choice.
However, Bo Ying’s thirst for knowledge and curiosity was piqued, and she couldn’t even enjoy exploring the botanical garden properly.
Several times, she only came back to her senses when He Jingxiu reminded her.
He Jingxiu looked at her like that, holding back for a long time before finally uttering, “Slut.”
Bo Ying: “?”
She was startled and glared at He Jingxiu, “How am I a slut?”
He Jingxiu poked the small dimple on her cheek, “Disturbed by a few words from Zheng Jinyao, if you’re not a slut, who is?”
Bo Ying was speechless.
She chuckled, then hooked her arm through He Jingxiu’s and said, “I’m sorry, Mr. He, I’ll put all my attention on you right away, how’s that?”
He Jingxiu looked at her.
“Still taking pictures?”
“Yes.”

The two of them strolled around the botanical garden diligently, and as they chatted, the topic somehow shifted back to Zheng Jinyao.
Bo Ying was curious, “What embarrassing thing do you think she did that would make her want to move to another planet?”
He Jingxiu looked up, “Are you going with her?”
Bo Ying, “...Possibly.”
“Remember to bring me along,” He Jingxiu said this without any discomfort.
Bo Ying chuckled, “Okay.”
After a stroll around the botanical garden, the couple on a proper date went to a nearby restaurant for dinner.
After dinner, He Jingxiu accompanied Bo Ying shopping, playing childish games she liked, just like most couples.
In the evening, they also watched a movie.
Because of this movie, Bo Ying forgot to ask Zheng Jinyao about her plan to move to another planet.
Back home, He Jingxiu didn’t even give her time to ask, wearing her out quite a bit.
For days, their intimate life had been happening, but considering Bo Ying’s work intensity, He Jingxiu had been very restrained.
After prolonged restraint, there was bound to be an explosion.

When it was over, Bo Ying was curled up in bed, not wanting to move at all.
She was like a salted fish now, waiting for He Jingxiu to flip her over.
He Jingxiu had just given her a bath. He came out of the bathroom with a hairdryer to dry her hair, then touched her cheek, “Sleepy?”
Bo Ying’s voice was hoarse, “Tired.”
He Jingxiu chuckled softly, put the hairdryer back, returned to bed, and held her in his arms, murmuring, “Sleep.”
Bo Ying hummed, closed her eyes and said, “When I wake up, remember to remind me. I want to ask Yao Yao for gossip.”
He Jingxiu, “...”
He reluctantly agreed, his lips brushing her cheek, and said deeply, “Okay. Goodnight.”
“Goodnight.”

Days passed, and Bo Ying became more proficient at the law firm. Gradually, her overtime hours shortened, but her business trip frequency increased.
Sometimes both she and He Jingxiu were busy, flying here today and there tomorrow, becoming frequent flyers.
But strangely, she really enjoyed her current busy life, always feeling especially fulfilled.
Occasionally, seeing the smiles on her clients’ faces, she would feel very gratified. It was wonderful; she had learned a profession that could directly help people.
She was truly happy.
In a flash, spring left, and summer arrived.
After enduring the hot summer, autumn came.
Bo Ying loved autumn the most, for no other reason than it was the season she met He Jingxiu.
The boy in the evening and the pink sunset of that day were etched in her mind, something she could never forget.
After the National Day holiday, the weather gradually cooled down.
After work that day, Bo Ying had thought of going back to school with He Jingxiu. She still remembered the date, October 9th, the day she met He Jingxiu.
Bo Ying could leave work on time, but He Jingxiu had to work overtime, and couldn’t leave.
While Bo Ying felt regretful, she also thought it would be fine to save it for next year. Next year, she would definitely make an appointment with He Jingxiu in advance, and then go to the school.
With half an hour left before she could leave, Bo Ying was contemplating whether to go straight home after work or visit He Jingxiu’s company, which she hadn’t been to in a while.

Before she could think of an answer, Zheng Jinyao called her.
“Yingying! Do you have plans tonight? Want to have dinner together?”
Bo Ying, “Yes.”
She smiled, “What should we eat?”
Zheng Jinyao thought for a moment, “Up to you, what do you want to eat?”
For some reason, Bo Ying really wanted to go back to her school.
“I’m thinking of eating at the snack street near our school. Didn’t you always ask me to take you? How about we go today?”
As soon as she spoke, there was a moment of silence from Zheng Jinyao’s end.
After a while, her surprised voice came through, “Ah?”
Bo Ying, “What’s wrong?”
She was puzzled, “You don’t want to go?”
Zheng Jinyao was dumbfounded for a few seconds, “No, not at all.”
She pursed her lips, feeling a sense of nervousness, “If you want to go, we’ll go. Should we ask Sheng Chun too? She seems to be resting?”
“Okay.”
Soon after, the two of them arranged to meet Sheng Chun.
As soon as work hours ended, Bo Ying left.
From the law firm to her high school, it wasn’t far, but not very close either.
As she drove, Bo Ying noticed the sky was beautiful, clear and bright, with large patches of orange-red coloring the clouds, making it very pretty.
She was surprised to see many drivers waiting at the red light pulling out their phones to take pictures.
Bo Ying smiled and casually took a picture to send to He Jingxiu.
Bo Ying: [Look, a very beautiful sunset.]
He Jingxiu couldn’t reply immediately, and Bo Ying didn’t mind.

Arriving at the school, Bo Ying looked up again.
She realized that the pink sky she hadn’t captured with her camera years ago now gave her an orange-red sky.
It was somewhat like the feeling of sour oranges ripening.
Standing at the school gate, she suddenly had an idea.
She gazed at the school opposite, and an impulse surged within her.
“Yao Yao.”
Bo Ying called Zheng Jinyao, “I want to go to First High School to have a look. We can have dinner later?”
Even though He Jingxiu wasn’t there, she felt it would be nice to walk around by herself.
Zheng Jinyao paused, then said frantically, “Ah, Sheng Chun and I are almost there, three minutes, wait for us?”
Bo Ying, “Are you going to First High School with me?”
Zheng Jinyao chuckled, “Yes, I want to see the place where you and Mr. He fell in love, will you take me?”
Bo Ying was amused by her, “What fell in love, it was love at first sight.”
She said, “Yes, if you want to go, I’ll take you.”
Zheng Jinyao decided, “Let’s go.”
________________________________________
Five minutes later, the three of them gathered at the gate of First High School.
By then, school was over, and students were coming and going.
After Bo Ying and the others registered, the security guard let them in.
Bo Ying, familiar with the way, led them towards the sports field. As they passed the field, she said, “Actually, that time I came to watch a basketball game.”
“Then why did you go to the rooftop?”
Bo Ying pointed at the sky, “The sunset attracted me.”
Sheng Chun laughed, “Did you bring a camera today?”
“No.”
Bo Ying regretted, “A phone will do, right?”
Zheng Jinyao, “Didn’t expect it, but I brought one.”
The two turned to look at her.
Zheng Jinyao blinked, saying guiltily, “I just grabbed it on my way out.”
Bo Ying didn’t think much of it, “Then help me take some good photos later.”
“No problem.”
The three walked towards the rooftop near the art building. The stairs were quite slow, and after climbing for a while, Bo Ying was a bit out of breath.
And Sheng Chun and Zheng Jinyao had even worse stamina.
________________________________________
Just as they were about to reach the rooftop, Bo Ying suddenly heard voices from above.
“Why aren’t you moving?”
Zheng Jinyao looked at her.
Bo Ying put a finger to her lips, shushing softly, “Wait a moment.”
She listened intently, finding the conversation and voices somewhat familiar.
Bo Ying was standing still, frozen, when she distinctly heard a sentence: “I have someone I like.”
A shadow fell from above. Bo Ying looked up and met the handsome, smiling eyes of the man. He stared directly at her and said, “Her name is Bo Ying.”
He gazed at her, saying word by word, “I want to propose to her today. I wonder if she’ll say yes.”
Bo Ying stared at him blankly, her lips moved, but for a long time, she couldn’t utter a word.
“You--”
He Jingxiu suddenly reached out, wanting to pull her.
Bo Ying blinked lightly and instinctively gave him her hand.
With two steps, she crossed the threshold and stood on the rooftop with him.
The orange-red sunset enveloped them, casting long shadows.
Bo Ying’s mind went blank. Before she could fully recover, He Jingxiu suddenly knelt on one knee in front of her, looking up at her, “Yingying, I’ve always been thinking what kind of proposal would move you and make it memorable. After much thought, this place seems most suitable, and this time is also perfect.”
He said, “Thank you for coming here on this day nine years ago, for entering my life and taking root in my heart.”
He stared at her intently, “You told me that day, you forgot to take a picture of the sunset because you were looking at me.”
“Then I thought, from now on, whenever you want, I am willing to watch every sunset with you.” He paused, then softly asked, “Will you marry me?”
Under the sunset, their figures were intertwined, wrapped around each other.
It was similar to that day, but also different.
Back then, He Jingxiu’s figure was covering hers, one high and one low. Now, they were also one high and one low, but their figures had swapped positions, still covering and intertwining.
But it also seemed like they were overlapping.
Voluntarily overlapping, neither willing to move an inch.
Bo Ying looked at him, her eyes moist.
She looked up at the sunset, a different color today but equally beautiful, emotions surging in her chest, her voice a little hoarse.
“I do,” she said, “I do.”
She knew it was love at first sight for her, and she knew even more clearly that long, long ago, she had known she would never escape him in this lifetime.
From the day they got together, she had dreamed of becoming He Jingxiu’s wife.
She wanted to marry him.
She wanted to be bound to him for this entire life, where no one could separate them.
He Jingxiu put the ring on her finger, and the two gazed at each other in silence.
The wind blew, and Bo Ying heard the click of a camera.
She looked up and saw her close friends and family on the other side.
“Look here,” Zheng Jinyao said.
The camera clicked.
It was very similar to years ago, yet also different.
Bo Ying finally got her wish; she had pursued the boy who made her heart flutter, and that boy who made her heart flutter had proposed to her.
