Psst! We're moving!
Xie Ye was insane.
This thought flashed through Chi Zhiyu’s mind for a split second. Before she could say anything, Jian Yazhi laughed at Xie Ye’s nonchalant expression.
“Go wash up,” Jian Yazhi said and pushed his shoulder slightly. She looked at Chi Zhiyu standing by the bed, still with a sleepy haze, looking confused.
Seeing Jian Yazhi’s gaze on her, Chi Zhiyu quickly spoke up, “Aunt Jian, don’t mis—”
Jian Yazhi chuckled and patted her head. “Don’t worry, Aunt knows. This brat came down this morning and told me.”
Chi Zhiyu recalled hearing the door open and close in her sleep earlier that morning. She glanced at Xie Ye leaning lazily against the doorframe, his eyelids drooping, looking drowsy and idle.
Perhaps sensing her gaze, he slightly lifted his eyelids, met her eyes, and raised an eyebrow.
Very arrogant.
“...”
No wonder he had been laughing earlier. He had already informed her and let her worry for nothing.
Chi Zhiyu narrowed her eyes.
“What are you still standing there for?” Jian Yazhi turned to look at him and urged, “Hurry up and brush your teeth and wash your face.”
Xie Ye indifferently hummed and lazily ruffled his hair, slowly turning to walk out.
Chi Zhiyu snapped back to reality. “Then I’ll go wash up too.”
“Mm, okay.” Jian Yazhi followed her out and accompanied her back to the neighboring room when she suddenly called out, “Xiaoyu.”
“Hmm?”
“Last night...” Jian Yazhi paused, “Did Xie Ye behave himself and just sleep?”
“...”
Blamed by Xie Ye earlier for taking advantage of him, whether it was true or not, Chi Zhiyu felt somewhat guilty when asked by Jian Yazhi now. She coughed and said, “No, he just slept.”
“That’s good.” Jian Yazhi nodded. “I was afraid this brat would lose his composure seeing you and forget where his brain went.”
Being teased by her own mother, Chi Zhiyu found it a bit funny but still defended Xie Ye. “He wouldn’t. Last night, he originally wanted to sleep on the sofa, but I had a nightmare and was a little scared, so I asked him to sleep with me.”
After saying that, she realized that Jian Yazhi didn’t seem surprised at their intimacy. She hesitated and said, “Aunt Jian, I have something to tell you.”
“Hmm? What is it?” Jian Yazhi opened the door to the neighboring room and softly answered.
“Xie Ye and I are together.” Chi Zhiyu quickly added, “But it’s only after graduation. We were just friends in high school. Please don’t blame him; I’ve always liked him.”
“...”
Upon hearing this, Jian Yazhi was momentarily stunned.
Chi Zhiyu pursed her lips. “Sorry for telling you so late.”
Looking at her somewhat worried expression, Jian Yazhi smiled faintly. “Is that all?”
Chi Zhiyu nodded.
Jian Yazhi laughed. “Alright, Aunt knows. Let me tell you a secret too.”
Chi Zhiyu’s mind lagged a beat. “What?”
Jian Yazhi smiled lightly. “It’s not just you; Xie Ye has always liked you too.”
Chi Zhiyu was taken aback.
Jian Yazhi found it amusing. “You should know that when Xie Ye first came here, he didn’t pay much attention to people, but he would bully you and make you come play with him first. As his mother, of course, I know his personality and can tell that he likes you. So when I saw both of you playing like this in high school, I thought you didn’t like this brat and only treated him as a friend.”
“No.” Chi Zhiyu instinctively explained, “I was afraid he didn’t like me, so I never dared to tell him clearly.”
“That’s right.” Jian Yazhi scolded. “This brat always speaks in reverse. When he liked something as a child, he often didn’t say it but made us buy it for him.”
Chi Zhiyu knew about Xie Ye’s bad temper and muttered softly, “I don’t know how I ended up liking him.”
“If you like someone, you like them.” Jian Yazhi casually said, “It’s his blessing. And if you’re with Xie Ye, Aunt is even happier than him.”
“But...” Jian Yazhi patted her head. “Aunt owes you an apology.”
Chi Zhiyu didn’t understand. “What for?”
Jian Yazhi smiled lightly. “I already knew about your relationship before.”
“Ah?” Chi Zhiyu was a bit dumbfounded and guessed, “Did Xie Ye tell you?”
Jian Yazhi nodded. “Sort of.”
It was sort of Xie Ye telling her, and sort of Jian Yazhi guessing.
Previously, when Xie Ye suddenly returned, she was quite surprised to see him. She asked, “Aren’t you training at the base? Why are you back?”
“Taking a break.” Xie Ye poured a glass of water and casually answered.
Seeing that he seemed to be coming from across the street, she curiously asked, “So did you stop by the dance studio to pick up Xiaozhi?”
“Mm.”
Jian Yazhi hummed and didn’t continue asking.
But Xie Ye seemed to think of something and unusually seriously called her over. “Mom, I have something to tell you.”
Jian Yazhi sat on the sofa and nodded. “Mm, go ahead.”
Xie Ye didn’t hesitate and got straight to the point. He said he didn’t plan to return to the Xie family and would focus on playing esports these years. If the Xie family called, they needn’t answer or receive the call; he would handle it.
When Jian Yazhi heard this, she wasn’t surprised. After choosing this path, he must have already planned his strategy.
She didn’t say much, just nodded. “Alright, I know. Focus on esports. Mom will wait for you at home.”
Hearing her response, Xie Ye indifferently hummed. “There’s one more thing I want to tell you.”
Jian Yazhi smiled. “Why do you have so many things to tell me today? What is it? Are you planning to leave and start a family and career?”
Xie Ye leaned against the sofa, holding a glass of water. “That works.”
Jian Yazhi: “What works?”
Xie Ye drank some water and lazily said, “Start a family and career.”
“Who are you starting a family with?” Jian Yazhi paused after asking, then suddenly realized something. “Are you with Xiaozhi?”
Hearing this unexpected tone, Xie Ye smirked. “Who else could it be?”
This statement was an implicit confirmation.
Jian Yazhi smiled. “So this is what you wanted to tell me?”
“What else?” Xie Ye’s tone was very cocky.
Jian Yazhi was amused and nodded. “Alright, if Xiaozhi agrees to start a family with you, I can give you the household registration book right now.”
Xie Ye straightened up. “Alright.”
“Hmm?”
Xie Ye was confident. “Get ready.”
...
“This brat dares to say anything.” After Jian Yazhi finished explaining, she added a complaint. Chi Zhiyu didn’t expect Xie Ye to say such things, but she found it quite fitting for him.
But starting a family and career...
Chi Zhiyu coughed lightly, feeling somewhat uncomfortable, and was about to say something.
Xie Ye, who had already finished washing up, walked over, glanced at the two of them, and lazily asked Jian Yazhi, “Don’t you want to check the kitchen?”
“...”
This was an obvious way to send her away.
Jian Yazhi was amused and nodded. “Alright, you wait here for Xiaozhi to finish washing up. I’ll go check.”
After saying that, she turned to walk out. Maybe she wasn’t reassured and glanced at Xie Ye again, reminding him, “Behave yourself.”
Receiving her gaze, Xie Ye’s eyebrows slightly arched. Without waiting for her to leave, he directly pulled Chi Zhiyu into the room and closed the door behind him.
Jian Yazhi: “...”
Brat.
Chi Zhiyu was pulled into the room. After a moment of realization, she was amused by his actions.
Xie Ye looked down at her, his expression lazy. “What did my mom just say to you?”
When asked, Chi Zhiyu remembered the embarrassing situation in the room earlier and pinched his cheek, venting her frustration. “Why didn’t you tell me you had already told Aunt Jian? You made me worry for nothing.”
Xie Ye let her pinch him, staring at her face, lazily said, “Did you give me time to say?”
“...” Chi Zhiyu choked, “You could have reminded me.”
“Alright.” Xie Ye nodded. “Next time.”
“...”
Who gives you next time.
Chi Zhiyu glared at him and turned to walk towards the bathroom. Seeing Xie Ye follow her in, she didn’t drive him out and casually asked, “Did you tell Aunt Jian about us being together?”
“Did my mom say?” Xie Ye casually picked up her toothbrush and toothpaste, squeezed it, and handed it to her.
Chi Zhiyu looked at his actions, paused, took it, and hummed, about to brush her teeth.
Xie Ye hummed. “Then she probably mentioned other things. Didn’t you hear?”
“...” Chi Zhiyu pretended not to understand. “Huh? What things?”
Xie Ye looked at her meaningfully. “What do you think?”
Chi Zhiyu blinked. “I don’t know.”
“Alright.” Xie Ye pinched her face. “Pretending to be dumb, huh?”
“...”
Chi Zhiyu chose not to speak, naturally started brushing her teeth, and seeing him waiting, mumbled, “Nixian chugou.”
Xie Ye didn’t know if he understood, clicked his tongue. “Brush your teeth properly.”
“...”
Chi Zhiyu was helpless and obediently brushed her teeth.
But she had forgotten to tie her hair, and because of her lowered posture, a few strands of hair by her shoulders kept falling down, sticking to the side of her face, which was bothersome.
She put down the cup and tried to press her hair with her hand.
Suddenly, Xie Ye by her side reached out, his fingertips gathering the hair by her ear, smoothing it, and circling her hair with one hand. Then he tilted his chin toward her. “Continue.”
Chi Zhiyu saw his actions clearly through the mirror, intimate and natural. She blinked, and her lips silently curved upward as she quietly finished brushing her teeth.
Finally, when washing her face, she didn’t let Xie Ye release her. Slightly bending over, she scooped up some water with her palms and simply washed her face.
Xie Ye stood by her side, watching her movements.
Her jet-black long hair was gathered by him, revealing her fair and slender neck. Her jaw was wet with clear water, a few droplets sliding down her neck, passing through her beautiful collarbone lines, and then further down to her slightly low neckline, covering her chest.
Suddenly, memories of last night’s soft touch in his arms came to mind.
Warm and delicate.
Silent temptation.
Chi Zhiyu straightened up, picked up a towel nearby, wiped her face carelessly, and looked at the person in the mirror. “I’m done. You can let go now.”
Xie Ye released her as instructed, and the ink-black hair instantly unraveled, falling behind her.
Chi Zhiyu casually threw the towel in the trash bin and turned to look at him. “Let’s go. We’re done here.”
Xie Ye didn’t respond, lowering his eyes to stare at her face, which was within reach.
Receiving his gaze, Chi Zhiyu blinked. “What are you looking at? Did I not wash it clean?”
Xie Ye suddenly raised his hand, approaching her cheek. “Here.”
Chi Zhiyu didn’t understand. “What about here?”
Xie Ye lowered his eyelashes, his fingertips gently rubbing the water droplet she hadn’t wiped off, stroking her delicate skin, moving down to her jawline.
Because of his touch, Chi Zhiyu paused, her gaze lifting to meet his eyes.
The space grew quiet.
It felt like something was tugging at that string.
Slightly broken.
The next moment, Xie Ye, following the beast he had suppressed all night, unhesitatingly pulled her into his arms, lowering his head to kiss her lips, pinching her chin, and pressing down.
With a slight force, Chi Zhiyu obediently opened her mouth.
His tongue probed in, sweeping every corner, teasing her tongue, licking slowly, his movements light yet aggressive, as if wanting to devour her inch by inch.
She had just brushed her teeth, and her mouth was full of strong strawberry flavor. Perhaps Jian Yazhi thought she was a girl and specially bought it for her, with a hint of fragrance.
Now, it was invaded and disrupted by the mint scent from Xie Ye’s lips and tongue, accompanied by subtle swallowing sounds.
Chi Zhiyu didn’t know why he suddenly went crazy, but upon detecting his cool breath, she gently bit his tongue, somewhat dissatisfied, and mumbled unclearly, “Why is your toothpaste mint-flavored?”
“...” Xie Ye couldn’t help but chuckle at her words, licking her palate slowly. “Because I’m manly.”
Chi Zhiyu frowned, her hands around his neck, biting his lower lip, and proposed, “Then let’s swap our toothpastes.”
“No swap.”
Xie Ye lifted her face, staring at her fair neck, uncontrollably lowering his head to kiss it.
At home, he couldn’t leave any marks.
Reason tugged at his nerves.
Xie Ye suppressed his desire and moved upward, kissing her jawline, the corners of her lips, and rather venting-like, kissed her lips again, feeding her the hot minty breath bit by bit.
Covering her gradually fading strawberry flavor.
The force increased, her tongue being sucked rhythmically, making it numb.
Chi Zhiyu protested slightly, biting his tongue and mumbling,
“Swap.”
“You’re threatening me.” Xie Ye stopped, his breathing slightly heavy, laughter in his voice. “So fierce.”
His bangs were a bit messy, his pale lips deeper in color, his lips red, teeth white, looking somewhat seductive.
Chi Zhiyu’s lips were also rosy. Seeing his appearance, she decided to use her charm, tilting her head to press her lips against his, lightly touching them, and softly said, “I don’t want to use strawberry-flavored anymore.”
This person had disliked strawberry-flavored things since childhood, but had never actively mentioned it. Only those around her knew.
And these were things prepared by Jian Yazhi; she couldn’t refuse to use them.
But now, seeing his different taste, she definitely wanted to snatch it.
Spoiled brat.
“Alright.” Xie Ye lifted her chin, capturing her lips, his tongue carrying the cool mint flavor, re-entering her mouth. “I’ll change it for you now.”
“...”
“Like this,” Xie Ye’s lips and teeth swept over her sweet scent, slowly licking, his voice teasing and hoarse, as if flirting, “Are you satisfied?”
