Psst! We're moving!
“Done,” two simple words.
Chen Yang’s fingers were beautiful—clean and long, resembling the hands of the models in the magazines her desk mate often showed her.
Though she had always thought those images were photoshopped.
But today, she realized that some people really did have such beautiful fingers. When his fingertips brushed against hers, every touch felt vivid—she could feel the pads of his fingers, the joints bending.
All her senses were heightened.
As soon as he said “done,” Le Ya quickly pulled her hand back and softly said, “I could’ve done it myself just now.”
She hadn’t expected Chen Yang to ask her to extend her hand just to help her wash it. She had never been in such close contact with a boy before—except for her father, Le Yi Jian.
But this was different. He was a peer, and male.
Le Ya was still lost in her thoughts, her ears drooping slightly.
Chen Yang’s expression remained calm as he refilled a cup of water for her and reminded her, “Class has already started.”
Le Ya snapped out of her daze. The corridor outside had been quiet for a while. She hurriedly took the cup from him, grabbed her own uniform, and dashed off.
Like a gust of wind.
Chen Yang stepped out just in time to see her standing at the classroom door, completely engulfed in his oversized uniform.
He narrowed his eyes, and the corner of his lips twitched slightly.
When he returned to the classroom, the teacher didn’t hassle him. Though surprised by his lack of a uniform, the teacher simply continued writing on the board.
Liang Qian asked, “Where’s your uniform?”
Chen Yang casually replied, “I gave it away.”
Liang Qian: ???
You can give away a school uniform?

The teacher was lecturing inside the classroom.
Le Ya, panting, stood at the front door and called out, “Report.”
Perhaps Xie Qingyu had already covered for her, because the teacher only glanced at her before allowing her to return to her seat.
Le Ya walked down the aisle, her oversized uniform hanging loosely on her body, along with her own uniform in hand. It was obvious to anyone that something was amiss.
Her face burned as she quickly returned to her seat.
Worried about staining Chen Yang’s uniform, she deliberately lifted it slightly and placed several layers of tissues on her chair before sitting down. Only then did her nervousness ease a little.
Xie Qingyu noticed her quick movements, leaned over, and asked, “Why are you so late? Why is your uniform so big? Where did these two uniforms come from?”
Le Ya shook her head, using her book to cover her mouth, turned her head, and whispered, “I’ll tell you after class.”
Xie Qingyu nodded.
Each class lasted only about forty minutes.
Le Ya was wearing a uniform several sizes too large for her; the sleeves were baggy, constantly slipping down whenever she raised her arm.
And that wasn’t even mentioning the rest—the shoulder seams rested below her shoulders. On Chen Yang, it fit perfectly, but on her, it hung loosely around her arms.
Le Ya adjusted it once, then decided to leave it alone.
Whenever she spaced out, she couldn’t help but think about what happened in the water dispenser room, causing her heart to race uncontrollably.
It wasn’t until after class that she finally snapped out of it.
Le Ya had previously stashed something in her bag, which came in handy today. Before she could leave, Xie Qingyu grabbed her.
Xie Qingyu, sharp-eyed, pointed to her outfit. “Whose uniform is that?”
Le Ya whispered, “… Chen Yang’s.”
“Wow,” Xie Qingyu exclaimed, unable to contain her surprise. “You just went to get water—what happened?”
Le Ya showed her own stained uniform.
Xie Qingyu immediately understood. “Then why aren’t you rushing back?”
Le Ya replied, “If no one had stopped me, I would’ve already gone.”
Xie Qingyu let go of her. “My bad, my bad.”
After hurrying into the restroom, Le Ya removed the uniform and inspected it. Seeing it was clean, she relaxed.
When she returned, another girl stopped her. “Le Ya, how come after half a day, your uniform is so big? Did the school mess up the sizing?”
Another girl chimed in, horrified, “Could the school’s uniforms be so poorly made that they grow bigger after washing?”
Le Ya chuckled at their comments.
She quickly made up an excuse to brush them off and settled back into her seat.
There were four classes in the afternoon.
Since she wasn’t going home, Le Ya couldn’t change clothes.
Fortunately, it wasn’t particularly heavy on the first day. Later, she was careful not to stain Chen Yang’s uniform and found it relatively comfortable.
After the last class ended, everyone went out for dinner.
Outside, the sky had darkened, but there was still a faint glow mixed in. The school lights were on.
Le Ya and Xie Qingyu went together.
“Let’s eat something delicious today,” Xie Qingyu clapped her hands. “You shouldn’t eat anything spicy. Let’s go to Yang’s place.”
This restaurant was the most popular in the area. Almost everyone who ate there found it delicious. Occasionally, when it was crowded, there would even be a wait.
Perhaps they were lucky—there was still one table available when they arrived.
Without hesitation, Xie Qingyu dragged Le Ya toward it. If they hesitated, someone else might take it, and then they’d miss out.
The surrounding tables were all occupied.
After sitting down, Xie Qingyu noticed someone approaching the neighboring table with drinks. “Hey, Liang Qian, you’re here too?”
That red hair was unmistakable—it belonged to only one person in First High School.
Le Ya was also startled to see Liang Qian. Instinctively, she turned her head and saw Chen Yang walking over from behind. His gaze, faint yet piercing, landed directly on her.
In a sea of uniforms and students, he stood out sharply in his simple T-shirt.
Their eyes met for a second, then Le Ya quickly turned her head.
Now that they were already seated, there was no way to change tables.
Xie Qingyu had already gone to place their order, leaving Le Ya alone at the table. She lowered her head to look at her phone but could still feel the gaze coming from the side.
At the neighboring table, four or five boys sat together.
Liang Qian had also noticed Le Ya and the oversized uniform she was wearing. He was about to tease her when he said, “I actually thought you were serious about giving it away.”
Zhao Mingri chimed in, “But isn’t this exactly what giving away means?”
The two of them discussed topics that Le Ya couldn’t quite understand, yet she couldn’t shake the feeling they were talking about her.
Chen Yang kicked Liang Qian lightly under the table. “Stop with the nonsense.”
Liang Qian raised his hands defensively. “Alright, alright, I won’t say anything.”
Since the shop was small, the tables were placed close to each other. Every now and then, when Le Ya lowered her head, her eyes would catch a glimpse of Chen Yang’s legs stretched out casually.
Chen Yang was looking down, engrossed in his phone.
A bottle of drink sat untouched in front of him. The transparent glass reflected beautiful colors, while his long fingers rested beneath his phone. His wrist was slightly bent, revealing distinct tendons.
Because he was wearing short sleeves, his arms were fully exposed, leaving a small gap at his waist—his figure lean and well-proportioned.
From where she sat, Le Ya could see him clearly.
With his head slightly bowed, his nose appeared even more prominent. His brows were relaxed, his lips slightly pursed, as if completely detached from the surrounding noise and chaos.
Perhaps his gaze was too obvious. Sensing that she had been staring, he lifted his head and locked eyes with her directly.
His eyes were dark and deep, like the night sky, drawing her in.
For a moment, Le Ya was stunned.
“What are you doing, not eating?” Xie Qingyu couldn’t help but tap on the plate, seeing that Le Ya hadn’t touched her food. “Doesn’t it suit your taste?”
Hearing this, Le Ya quickly averted her gaze.
She lowered her head, guiltily picking up some food with her chopsticks and putting it into her mouth. Unexpectedly, she choked and coughed for a while before recovering.
The neighboring table fell silent for a moment.
Xie Qingyu didn’t expect such a reaction to her simple question and quickly handed her a glass of water. “What’s worrying you so much?”
Le Ya took a few sips from the cup, calming herself.
Liang Qian and Zhao Mingri had already downed several drinks and eaten quite a bit. Looking up, they saw Chen Yang sitting calmly and asked, “Brother Yang, why aren’t you eating? What are you looking at?”
He turned his head to follow Chen Yang’s gaze.
Ah, it should’ve been obvious. Who else could he be looking at but her?
“Isn’t that obvious?” Zhao Mingri, sitting on the same side, nudged Liang Qian’s arm. “It’s so clear she’s sitting right next to us—you only just noticed?”
Liang Qian glared at him.
When he first arrived, he only noticed Xie Qingyu. It wasn’t until he turned his head that he realized Le Ya was there too.
Just as he was thinking about it, Chen Yang stood up and left the table.
Liang Qian watched him leave, puzzled. “If he’s not eating, where’s he going?”
“How should I know?” Zhao Mingri crossed his legs lazily. “We’ll find out when he comes back.”
Chen Yang’s figure disappeared through the shop entrance.
A few minutes later, he returned, holding a bag. Those with sharp eyes immediately recognized it as bubble tea.
Liang Qian, who had been drinking a cold beverage, nearly spat it out. “No way, Brother Yang! In this weather, you’re having bubble tea with your meal?”
Wearing short sleeves while drinking hot bubble tea.
Impressive—so bold.
As Chen Yang approached the table, he paused without sitting down.
Le Ya was nibbling on her food when she noticed a bag placed beside her hand. She looked up just as Chen Yang withdrew his hand.
The corner of the shop fell silent.
The atmosphere in the corner soon returned to normal.
Xie Qingyu had so many questions for Le Ya, like when their relationship had become so close—first lending his uniform, now buying her bubble tea.
Such gestures were usually seen only between couples.
However, with a whole table of people nearby, asking would only make things awkward. So she decided to interrogate Le Ya later when they got back.
Xie Qingyu and Le Ya, being girls, ate much faster than Chen Yang and his group, who were still drinking and chatting casually.
Feeling restless, Le Ya volunteered to pay the bill.
After settling the bill, she waited by the cashier for Xie Qingyu. Amidst the noisy shop, she could clearly hear the voices from their table.
“... Brother Yang is dressed so lightly today.”
“Style over warmth—I wouldn’t be able to pull that off.”
“Brother Yang, I want bubble tea too! Can you treat me to a cup??”
“...”
Chen Yang replied indifferently, “Eat your food.”
Boys always spoke freely, joking about anything and everything. Le Ya felt her face flush with embarrassment and looked down at the oversized uniform she was wearing.
“What are you doing, trying to hide your head in your stomach?” Xie Qingyu approached, puzzled.
Le Ya shook her head. “Nothing.”
Xie Qingyu suggested, “Want to buy something? My snacks are all gone. Do you want to get some candy?”
Le Ya agreed, “Sure.”
On the way, Xie Qingyu kept talking about the day’s events, jumping from one topic to another—her own class one moment, another class the next, and even middle school stories.
While buying candy in the store, Xie Qingyu couldn’t help but ask, “By the way, why did he have you wear the uniform instead of tying it around your waist?”
Isn’t that how it’s always done in TV dramas?
Le Ya held a handful of candy, stunned for a moment before slowly replying, “I don’t know... maybe because my clothes were already dirty.”
Xie Qingyu nodded. “That makes sense.”
After all, it was just a matter of wearing someone else’s clothes—whether worn or tied, it made no difference.
When they exited the supermarket, the temperature outside had dropped a bit.
Le Ya stood facing the supermarket, waiting for Xie Qingyu to come out.
Inside, the fluorescent lights were bright, while behind her, the warm yellow streetlights illuminated the area. She stood in the shadowy space between them.
Xie Qingyu emerged with her shopping bag. “Let’s go.”
Just as they turned around, they came face-to-face with a few figures.
The supermarket was located to the left of the school gate, and Chen Yang and his group were standing near the entrance. His tall frame easily stood out from the others around him.
Coincidentally, they were walking toward this side.
Le Ya had already started drinking the bubble tea when she came out earlier. Now, upon seeing the original owner, she couldn’t help but glance down at the drink in her hand.
She had already drunk nearly a third of it.
Liang Qian and Zhao Mingri said something, then burst into laughter and left, winking at Le Ya before departing.
Xie Qingyu whispered, “Do you think he has something to say to you?”
Le Ya shook her head. “I don’t know.”
Xie Qingyu glanced at them and said, “I’ll go buy some more snacks. Call me when you’re done, okay? Good luck.”
No sooner had she left than Chen Yang walked over.
Le Ya didn’t know what to say. Her fingers fidgeted nervously with the plastic bag, making faint rustling sounds.
Chen Yang glanced at her. “Is your stomach hurting?”
Le Ya’s face instantly flushed red. “... No, it doesn’t hurt.”
She was one of those people who didn’t experience pain during her period, though she often felt bloated and weaker than usual.
Being asked this by a boy was incredibly awkward.
Seeing her shrink into herself like a penguin, Chen Yang gently tugged at her collar, exposing a small patch of her pale shoulder.
Instinctively, Le Ya moved to avoid his hand.
Chen Yang didn’t seem upset when she pushed his hand away. Smirking slightly, he asked, “Why were you so nervous during dinner?”
Le Ya denied it. “I wasn’t.”
Her earnest expression was almost comical.
Chen Yang chuckled lazily and pressed on, “What were you afraid of? Being seen by them—”
Le Ya couldn’t help but interrupt, “You keep asking annoying questions!”
Though a little annoyed, she also felt exposed, blurting out her frustration before pushing Chen Yang lightly.
To her embarrassment, he didn’t budge.
Le Ya was utterly exasperated with herself.
Seeing her on the verge of irritation, Chen Yang continued to provoke her. “You’re still wearing my clothes—are you treating me like this?”
