Psst! We're moving!
No one probably dislikes receiving flowers from someone they like.
Even more so, He Jingxiu gave her the yellow roses she had always loved.
They stood very close, faintly smelling the fragrance of flowers in the car.
Bo Ying stared for a moment, then turned to him, “When did you prepare this?”
He Jingxiu bent down, placing the bouquet in her hands, and chuckled softly, “I had someone prepare it.”
Bo Ying blinked, thought for a moment, “Assistant Qi?”
“Yes.”
Hearing this, Bo Ying wanted to laugh.
Holding the large bouquet, she teased, “Aren’t you worried your employees will get angry and resign if you exploit them like this?”
He Jingxiu raised an eyebrow, placing a hand on the car roof, gesturing for her to get in.
After Bo Ying got into the car, and he closed the door for her and walked around to the driver’s seat, he replied, “I’m not sure about others, but Assistant Qi won’t.”
“Why?” Bo Ying was curious, “Does he have some leverage over you?”
He Jingxiu heard her, raised his hand, and flicked her forehead, “What are you thinking?”
Bo Ying shrugged, “It’s mainly what you said that easily causes misunderstandings.”
He Jingxiu smiled, offering no explanation.
He drove her home.
All the way, Bo Ying admired the flowers in her hands.
The flowers were very fresh, larger and fresher than what she usually saw in flower shops. Their scent was faint and very pleasant.
He Jingxiu occasionally glanced over, seeing her profile as she lightly sniffed the flowers. Her nose was small but high, making her features appear more defined and very beautiful.
As he was watching, Bo Ying suddenly turned to him.
“CEO He.”
“Yes?” He Jingxiu responded.
Bo Ying pursed her lips slightly, her earlobes faintly warm, reminding him, “You should be watching the road.”
He Jingxiu put his gaze and attention back on the wide road, “Don’t worry.”
He wouldn’t let anything happen to her, nor could he bear it.
The car was quiet for a while.
Bo Ying stopped smelling the flowers. She looked at the scenery flashing past outside the window and yawned uncontrollably.
“Sleepy?”
“A little bit.”
She had gone to bed too late last night, and even though she woke up late this morning, she was still sleepy.
He Jingxiu lightly tapped the steering wheel with his fingers and said, “Then help me grab that bag from the back to wake you up?”
Bo Ying was startled. She looked at the back seat and indeed saw a large bag there.
She raised an eyebrow, reaching to grab it while asking, “What is it? Food?”
He Jingxiu glanced at her, “Hungry?”
“No...” Bo Ying didn’t know why her first thought was food. She thought it might be because she hadn’t done anything particularly meaningful while with He Jingxiu, and they had just been eating all day.
With the bag in her hand, Bo Ying looked at the person next to her, “Can I look?”
He Jingxiu nodded, “Look.”
Bo Ying’s eyebrows arched slightly as she lowered her head to look inside the bag.
There was another box inside the paper bag. Using the light from inside the car and the streetlights filtering through the window, she opened the somewhat heavy box.
Upon seeing what was inside, Bo Ying froze.
Her lips moved, and she looked at He Jingxiu in disbelief, “This...”
“What?”
“How did you get it?” What lay before her was the Lolita dress she had seen in the small shop in Jiangcheng.
He Jingxiu smiled, and joked, “I bought it with money.”
Bo Ying choked, “You know what I’m asking.”
She had tried to buy it herself, even willing to pay a high price, but the owner wouldn’t budge.
He Jingxiu didn’t tell her how he got it. He lowered his eyes to her, “Do you like this gift?”
“...”
Bo Ying was stunned for a moment, remembering what she had said last night at the KTV entrance. She had said he had no flowers or gifts when he confessed.
At the time, it was just a casual grumble, and she hadn’t expected He Jingxiu to remember it, let alone make up for it so quickly.
To her, as long as the person was He Jingxiu, those external things didn’t matter at all.
Seeing her silence, He Jingxiu asked, “Don’t you like it?”
“No,” Bo Ying looked down, murmuring, “You know I like it.”
He Jingxiu’s lips curled up. During the red light, he squeezed her hand, “If you like it, be happier.”
Bo Ying turned to stare at him.
She watched for a few seconds, then suddenly asked, “I kind of want to kiss you right now.”
He Jingxiu’s eyebrow twitched. Just as he was about to speak, Bo Ying, who had noticed the traffic light changing at the crossroads from the corner of her eye, said to herself, “It’s a green light, no time.”
“Let’s just forget it.”
“...”
A few seconds passed after the green light, and the car still hadn’t moved.
Bo Ying looked at He Jingxiu with a bewildered expression, “Aren’t we going?”
As soon as she spoke, a horn blared from behind.
He Jingxiu turned, giving her a deep look, and then stepped on the gas.

A few minutes later, the car’s speed noticeably slowed down.
Bo Ying was still looking at the dress. When she realized what was happening, the car had already pulled over and stopped.
She looked at He Jingxiu in confusion, about to ask him why he suddenly stopped, when he took the box from her lap.
Immediately after, Bo Ying’s seatbelt was unbuckled, followed by the sound of He Jingxiu’s breath close to her ear.
His breath was hot, warming that patch of her skin.
The man was very close, as if whispering in her ear.
Bo Ying’s eyelashes fluttered, and her heart leaped to her throat.
“You...” She guessed what he wanted to do, but couldn’t be 100% sure.
“You said you wanted to kiss me,” He Jingxiu said calmly, “Now, it’s not too late.”
Bo Ying’s breath hitched, her gaze locking with his.
Their lips didn’t touch, but at such a close distance, if she just tilted her chin slightly, her lips would brush against his chin.
For some reason, Bo Ying felt that he was more attractive now than last night.
Her gaze lingered on He Jingxiu’s face, slowly falling to his lips.
He Jingxiu had typical thin lips, which looked somewhat cold and indifferent. Bo Ying had heard somewhere that men with thin lips tended to be bland and heartless.
But she didn’t think this statement was quite right, at least He Jingxiu wasn’t that type of person.
Her gaze was too intense. He Jingxiu’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down, but he didn’t make a move first.
He lowered his head slightly, his voice deep, as if tempting her, “Don’t want to kiss, or don’t dare?”
Bo Ying had a strange competitive streak; it showed in her tendency to step into a pit even when she knew it was there.
For example, now.
As soon as He Jingxiu’s words fell, she tilted her chin, her soft lips actively brushing against his smooth jawline.
Bo Ying kissed very slowly, moving upwards from his chin, like a tickle.
He Jingxiu’s breathing grew heavier, and his gasps became much more noticeable.
He didn’t disturb Bo Ying, nor did he rush her forward.
Bo Ying seemed to really like his chin, lingering there for a long time, never moving away.
She stared straight at the man in front of her, challenging him.
After an unknown period, Bo Ying lost control, and her lips covered his a little earlier than she had anticipated.
Her body stiffened. Just as she was about to pull away, the man lost his patience. His long fingers rubbed her nape, forcefully prying open her teeth, finding her tongue, and sucking.
Their breaths intertwined, hot enough to ignite a dormant fire.
Bo Ying’s legs were weak from his kiss, and her body involuntarily softened. Even though she was sitting, she felt like a drowning person at that moment, unable to find a floating piece of wood to support herself. She could only instinctively clutch the clothes of the person in front of her and hold him tight.
The air in the car became thin, an unknown restlessness spreading, making them lose control.
After an unknown period, sensing that Bo Ying was out of breath, He Jingxiu pulled back slightly, panting, “Want to go home, or kiss a little longer?”
Bo Ying’s cheeks were flushed, her nose touching his, clearly hearing his breathing and her own.
Their close chests rose and fell, calming their emotions.
She looked at the man whose lips were stained with her lipstick, her heart racing. She licked her lips and actively kissed him again.
“Kiss a little longer,” she mumbled.
Because of that kiss in the car, they arrived home more than an hour late.

On Monday morning, Bo Ying was drowsy at work.
Because of last night’s kiss, she had dreamed all night, waking up with a flushed face in the bathroom, feeling low on energy.
“Didn’t sleep well?”
Pei Yunmeng looked at her and whispered, “I heard Yaoyao say CEO He went to find you on Saturday?”
Bo Ying nodded, and softly shushed, “I’ll tell you later.”
Pei Yunmeng’s eyes sparkled, and she immediately guessed, “Are you off the market?”
“...” Bo Ying nodded a little shyly, “Mhm.”
Pei Yunmeng quietly “wow-ed,” then teased, “So should I call you President’s wife from now on?”
“...”
Bo Ying choked on her words, her face flushed, “What are you talking about? We just started.”
It hadn’t reached that point yet.
Pei Yunmeng shrugged, “It’s only a matter of time.”
She smiled, “I knew CEO He before, and I’ve heard a lot about them from my brother. He always rejects women who come to him.”
She looked at Bo Ying curiously, “Tell me quickly, how did you get him?”
Bo Ying: “...”
Facing Pei Yunmeng’s curious gaze, she thought seriously for a moment and then said hesitantly, “By being persistent?”
In high school, her approach to He Jingxiu could probably be considered persistent.
Pei Yunmeng raised an eyebrow, her eyes wide, “Really? You pursued him?”
Bo Ying nodded.
After all, that’s how it used to be.
Pei Yunmeng was shocked for a moment, then murmured, “I wouldn’t have guessed. CEO He is quite a dark horse.”
Bo Ying agreed with this assessment.
She also thought He Jingxiu was quite a dark horse, more cunning and secretive than she had imagined.
Last night, he must have used countless tricks to seduce her.
Thinking of last night, Bo Ying’s face felt hot again. It was her fault; her willpower wasn’t strong enough, and she kept getting swept away by male charm.
Seeing her face getting redder, Pei Yunmeng whispered, “What kind of R-rated scenes are you thinking about?”
Bo Ying choked, “None.”
She picked up her cup, took a sip of water, then put it down, “Coffee?”
“Yes.”
Bo Ying smiled, picked up her phone, and prepared to order takeout.
After ordering for herself and Pei Yunmeng, she pondered for a moment and then placed an additional order.

When Qi Xuezheng came in with a paper bag, He Jingxiu was looking at documents.
The man was wearing a white shirt and glasses on his nose, which made him look particularly handsome and refined.
The warm sunlight outside streamed in, adding a splash of color to the cool-toned office.
“CEO He.”
He Jingxiu responded, “What is it?”
Qi Xuezheng put the bag down and said, “Coffee from the delivery person.”
He Jingxiu paused, then looked up.
Upon seeing the brand on the bag, he easily guessed who ordered it.
He smiled, “Put it here.”
Qi Xuezheng nodded.
Before he left, He Jingxiu said, “Have lunch delivered to the office at noon.”
Before Qi Xuezheng could nod, he added, “For two. I’ll send you the dishes Bo Ying likes later.”
Qi Xuezheng: “...Okay.”
After Qi Xuezheng left, He Jingxiu sent a message to the person downstairs, with a photo attached.
Her phone vibrated, and Bo Ying secretly glanced at it. It was a photo of the man holding the coffee.
Although it was casually taken, it had a good aesthetic.
Bo Ying thought it must be because his hands were attractive. He Jingxiu had long hands, with distinct knuckles, and his fingernails were neatly trimmed, clean, and particularly beautiful.
He Jingxiu: [Received.]
Bo Ying: [Got it.]
He Jingxiu: [Didn’t sleep well? Why are you drinking coffee again.]
Bo Ying: [Sleepy. Aren’t you busy?]
Logically speaking, He Jingxiu should be very busy. He had just returned from a business trip abroad, and today was his first day back at work, so there should be a lot of accumulated tasks.
He Jingxiu: [Busy. I have a meeting later. Want to pre-book our afternoon meal time?]
Bo Ying: [?]
He Jingxiu: [Have lunch with me?]
Bo Ying suppressed a smile and deliberately replied: [I’ll consider it.]
He Jingxiu saw her response and wasn’t angry: [Okay, let me know when you’ve decided.]
Bo Ying: [Mhm.]
Perhaps afraid Bo Ying would refuse, He Jingxiu suddenly sent her another message: [There’s a place upstairs where you can lie down for a nap.]
Bo Ying replied with six dots.
