If your student is going to be absent from school, please call the attendance line at 303-982-7813. School safety and protecting your children is our utmost priority. We need to account for each and every student on a daily basis. Also, please call the attendance line if your student is going to be late or has to leave early. Leawood Attendance Policy

In addition, please review your Parent Portal Account. Some of you only have one parent and no additional emergency contacts listed in the system. We ask that you go into your account and add extra contacts. When we have your child in the clinic or if there is an emergency, we need to be able to reach someone in a hurry. Thank you for your prompt follow through.
Watchdog Dads and Marvelous Moms
Watchdog Dad/Marvelous Mom's info night Thursday 9/14 at 6pm. Come learn more about how Dad's, Mom's, or any special adult in your students life can help out in Leawood and make their child's day. If you are new to Leawood come hear more, if you've been around come by to share stories with how great this program is! Pizza will be provided, email Matt Goman mpgoman@gmail.com if you are planning to come (so we know how much pizza to get) or if you have any questions.
We're still looking for a Magnificent Mom to head up our new Marvelous Mom volunteer program. Please let us know if you're interested. Top Dog, Matt Goman, continues as lead of our Watch Dog Dad Program.

From the Health Room
Please keep your child at home if they are experiencing the following symptoms:
Fever
Vomiting
Diarrhea
If you have been called to pick your child up due to illness, they must be picked up from school within 15 minutes. If you cannot pick them up within 15 minutes, please have someone on your emergency contact list pick them up.
From the Financial Office
Please go into Parent Portal to review and pay for your student's fees. Families still need to complete Application For Free/Reduced Lunch to have the School Fees waived, although Lunch and Breakfast is free for all students this year. Please note that all F/R information must be updated on a yearly basis. Those who qualify for Free & Reduced assistance will have the bus and all of the other school fees waived.
If you have received an approval letter from Free & Reduced and your fees have not been waived, please email the confirmation letter to Mrs. Russell: margarita.russell@jeffco.k12.co.us
