Reading - Macbeth

Act 1 and Act 2

Reading Objectives:

Students will identify and analyze the key characters introduced in Act 1, including Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, Duncan, and the witches.
Students will examine the role of the supernatural in Act 1, focusing on the witches and their prophecies.
Students will discuss the theme of guilt as it emerges in Act 2, particularly in relation to Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.
Students will analyze key soliloquies in Act 2, such as Macbeth's "Is this a dagger?" speech.

Writing Objectives:

Argumentative writing and letter writing

To develop a well structured argumentative writing based on the quote "Fair is foul and foul is fair"
To create a well developed letter.

Analytical Writing: PEEL and PETAL writing

Geometry:

Construct accurate diagrams to solve problems

Algebra:

Solve problems involving formulae and expressions
Solve linear inequalities and represent the solution on a number line.
Use index laws with zero and negative powers.
Expand and factorise expressions involving powers.
Construct and solve complex equations.
Change the subject of a formula

Chemistry: Chemical Reaction

chemical reactions as the rearrangement of atoms
representing chemical reactions using formulae and using equations
combustion, thermal decomposition, oxidation and displacement reactions
what catalysts do

Physics: Motion & Pressure

speed and the quantitative relationship between average speed, distance, and time (speed = distance ÷ time)
the representation of a journey on a distance-time graph
relative motion: trains and cars passing one another
atmospheric pressure decreases with increase of height as weight of air above decreases with height
pressure in liquids, increasing with depth; upthrust effects, floating and sinking
pressure measured by ratio of force over area – acting normal to any surface

To answer the questions of the listening record (Volunteering poem).
To answer the questions of the reading comprehension.
To learn Grammar: Change the tense from present to past (Revision).
To write about a person who was famous for volunteering and helping others.
To Provide a full detailed plan on applying working hours for school students and how this plan works.
To search about aspects of volunteering.

ومن خلالها استطاع الطالب أن يظهر قدرة على أن :

-أن يبن الطالب المعنى الإجمالي للآيات

الحديث الشريف:أقدس بيوت الله

-أن يبين الطالب المعنى الإجمالي للحديث

السيرة النبوية:فتح مكة

-أن يبين الطالب أهمية التوكل على الله من خلال فتح مكة

الأحكام الفقهية أحكام العمرة:

-أن يبين الطالب كيفيةأداء العمرة

ISLAMIC B

Students of Year 9 will reflect on the hadith of the Prophet (SAW) about the virtue of a believer. They will analyse the hadith and extend that understanding to their lives.

ART :

To learn the various styles and depiction of portraiture.
To learn about famous artists of all time.
To be able to take inspiration from famous living artists to sketch a realistic portrait.
To be able to use the anatomy method to sketch a realistic portrait.

P.E :

Basketball, Cricket, and Badminton.

Objective : Focus on Physical Fitness: Promoting physical activity, enhancing fitness levels, agility, endurance, strength and coordination through practice of these games and also applying the enhanced techniques in games.

COMPUTING :

To be able to understand the concept of Data Science.
To be able to explore the real-world applications and impact of data science across various industries.
To be able to understand Global Data and its applications.

French :

Students will be learning:

To describe a house and the furniture.
To identify house chores.
Write how to contribute at home.
To talk about hobbies.

MSC :

Discuss the ways and the extent to which the UAE’s traditional political heritage based on consensus continues to be part of the modern state.
Identify the key developments in the growth of consultative government at local and national levels within the UAE.
