☀️ Recognising the vital role of playtime and and social interaction in a student's day, we've sprinkled in quick, refreshing outdoor breaks!
Lasting no more than 15-20 minutes, these short outdoor breaks ensure students can enjoy a breath of fresh air, connect with friends and engage in light activities without the discomfort of extreme temperature.
We kindly remind parents to ensure that their students come to school with their water bottles full. Staying hydrated is essential for students, especially in hot weather.
The External benchmark test for the Arabic language will start next week (Week 4, between the 20th to the 22nd of September 2023) for Years 5, 6 & 8 students.
The first round of the Year 2-9 New Group Reading Test (NGRT) termly assessment is scheduled to start next week from 18th to 22nd September, 2023.
Important reminder for students in Year 4 to Year 9:
These are computer based test and require the use of students’ own Chromebook and headsets.
Chromebooks and Headsets: Students in Year 4-9 will need to bring their own fully-charged Chromebook and headsets for the test. We recommend using wired USB headphones to avoid any potential Bluetooth connectivity issues.
Technical Support: Check if the Chromebook and headsets are in good working condition. If your child has any issues with their chromebook, please see/contact the IT team <itsupport@alsalamschool.ae>
Year 2 and Year 3 students tests will be administered in the ICT lab.
Encourage your children to bring along a book to read and enjoy in case they finish the test ahead of schedule.

Your active participation in your child's education is highly valued and we want to ensure that you feel supported in this journey. If you have any further questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of all students at ASPS, we would like to inform you about an important update regarding our attendance alert system.
Our attendance system is designed to send notifications to parents if their child is not present at the time of registration. This system serves two critical purposes: Monitoring Student Attendance and Tracking Late Attendance.
If you receive an attendance/absence notification and your child has been sent into school or if you receive the alert but were late dropping off your child, we kindly request that you take the following steps:
If you were late dropping off your child, please indicate this in your communication with the form tutor. Your prompt notification will help us maintain accurate attendance records and support our safeguarding efforts.
Notice of Absence Form:
As per the directives from the KHDA and in accordance with our school policy, unnecessary absences and persistent lateness are matters of serious concern. Both parents and students are expected to adhere to the attendance requirements.
It is important to inform you that we are actively monitoring your child's attendance. Excessive absences and consistent lateness could potentially affect your child's eligibility for re-registration in the next academic year.
To streamline the communication of student absence, please fill in the Notice of Absence Form.

We would like to bring to your attention a recent enhancement to our communication methods through the introduction of mobile numbers in our PSF (Parent-School Forum) WhatsApp groups.
However, we encountered an issue where some of these numbers were mistakenly flagged as spam. This resulted in the temporary suspension of our school account.
We kindly request your assistance in ensuring the uninterrupted flow of important school updates and information. Please refrain from exiting the group or marking any messages as spam on the school's WhatsApp group as doing so may result in our number being blocked.
It is important to note that whilst these WhatsApp groups serve as an additional platform for updates and information, they do not replace our school's official communication channels. All official emails will continue to be sent through the PCode Gmail address. This platform remains the primary means of disseminating news and keeping everyone in the community informed.
