To consolidate the key ideas from Year 3 about the behaviour of light, including light sources and shadows
To describe how a mirror reflects an image of an object
To apply understanding of how light travels to explain how a periscope and other applications of mirrors work
To understand how a pinhole camera works and, using suitable representations, show how this helps us to understand how we see things. To identify the variables that affect the size of a shadow, and plan a fair test to investigate one of them
