We would like to thank parents and guardians for their cooperation and support in ensuring the smooth operations of our school, especially during this month of Ramadan. We have noticed some parents staying in the playground with their children after school hours and we kindly ask for your assistance in clearing the playground promptly at the end of the school day.
Our staff concludes their duties by 1:00 pm and it is important for us to ensure that the school grounds are clear of people before our staff board the bus to go home. This ensures the safety and security of our premises.
We understand that some of you would like to spend extra time with your children in the playground, but we kindly ask parents and carers to leave the school premises promptly after collecting the students at the end of the school day
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
We would like to inform you of some important updates regarding our school policy regarding bringing food to school. These changes are aimed at promoting a healthier and more inclusive environment for all. Please take note of the following:
Items such as birthday treats, giveaways and sweets, including Haq al Leila, should not be consumed in school. Instead, they should be sent home with the students. We believe that parents should have control over what their child eats and when, and we want to encourage healthier food choices.
During school-wide events and activities where food is shared in the classroom, such as parties and curriculum events, there is no longer a requirement to individually wrap items. However, homemade food must be accompanied by an ingredient list for allergy and dietary considerations.
We will no longer facilitate celebrations for personal achievements and celebrations for students during the school day. Examples include winning an award or the birth of siblings etc. Instead, these events can be mentioned in an assembly or in class as noteworthy occasions. If a child wishes to share a gift or treats, it should be individually wrapped and sent home.
These changes have been included in our school handbook and you can read the full version of the policy here.
This week, our school had the privilege of hosting a theater team presenting the play "My Country, the UAE" in Arabic language. This theatrical production served as a medium to reinforce and instill educational values, particularly fostering patriotism and a deep appreciation for a great nation, the United Arab Emirates.=
Ahlan! The Arabic Department is excited to announce the launch of Arabic Language Week that will start on 18th March until 21st March 2024. These days are dedicated to celebrating the richness and global significance of the Arabic language and culture.
The Arabic department has organised a diverse array of events and activities that highlight the profound impact of Arabic on various aspects of life. Throughout the week, students from FS1 to Year 9 will engage in activities designed to enhance their proficiency in the four main language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
We invite parents to join us in celebrating Arabic Language Week by encouraging their children to participate in the activities.
This day will be celebrated by all the students of Years 1-9 and staff to appreciate the importance of mathematics in real life. The students will take a break from their standard day-to-day lessons and will be involved deeper into it through hands-on and fun activities.
As part of our Maths Day, we are inviting students and staff to come dressed as a mathematician or in a homemade maths-themed costume.
Whether it's dressing up as a famous mathematician like Pythagoras or crafting a costume inspired by geometric shapes, equations or mathematical concepts, we welcome all creative interpretations! Here are some ideas:
