We are thrilled to announce that, together, we have achieved the Wellbeing Award for Schools!

On Thursday, 7th December 2023, the Inspector went through all our documents and evidence, which included the valuable information and surveys that parents and students have contributed to. 

Inspector's Feedback:

The Inspector expressed great admiration for what she saw and everyone she met.

On Students:

• The Students themselves are driving and embedding the Wellbeing initiatives, even from the FS levels: imaginative and creative ways to get their message across, they definitely have a  strong voice!

On Parents:

• Parents are supportive of the school and communication is very effective  

• The Whattsapp group communication is done in a structured, streamlined way.

• Parents are really helping each other and are finding ways to use the expertise they have among them to support each other as well as the school.

• They have a good relationship with the school and appreciate the information they get, it helps them understand their own parenting skills - and they feel its ok to ask for help

On Staff:

• The Inspector feels that the staff are well supported, they have a great CPD system that works for them, that staff wellbeing has a very holistic approach. 

• The staff have a good understanding of wellbeing, and it's very much part of their whole approach in teaching

On Management:

• Ms. Wendy is a most impressive Principal and so approachable.

• The relationship with Governors and Leadership underpins well what goes on in school

On School’s Portfolio:

• The inspector loves the quality and range of the evidence in the portfolio, and the presentation was very comprehensive.

• The Students’ videos are very imaginative. 

• The tour video gave a wonderful flavour of the school: the inspector thought the standards and quality of the school displays and classrooms was excellent!

A special thanks goes to Ms. Hareem, Head of Wellbeing, for her hard work on this remarkable achievement. Gratitude extends to our students and parents for their unwavering support, our Governors for their guidance, and our hardworking staff for their daily contributions. This Wellbeing Award is a testament to the collaborative effort of the entire school community.

Winter Break

ASPS will be closed for students from 11th December to 1st January, 2024. Classes will resume on 2nd January 2024.

Our school offices (Accounts, Front office and Admissions) will remain open during the winter break (except on public holidays). The office hours during this period are from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, with gates closing at 1:30 pm.

Parent Teacher Meetings on Saturday 6th January, 2024

End of Term 1 reports will be issued to parents on Wednesday 3rd January, 2024 along with links to schedule appointments for the parent teacher meeting. Please note that the reports will be released only to the Parent code (PCode - school email address).

The Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM) after the reports release for the whole school will be held on Saturday 6th January, 2024. 

Sibling Priority for New Admissions in Nursery and FS

Prizes and Recognition:

• Students who achieve their reading goals will be recognised and celebrated after when we get back to school from the winter break.

• Top Readers may have the chance to win exciting prizes.

A Two-Day Spectacle of Excitement, Competition and Camaraderie!

Brimming with excitement, fierce competition and a strong sense of camaraderie, our annual sports days were nothing short of spectacular. The sports day began with a burst of energy and seamless teamwork from our Year 3-9 girls.

The excitement continued on the second day as our Year 3-9 boys took the spotlight. The competition was fierce, creating a very exciting atmosphere. 

A big THANKYOU you goes out to all the parents who joined in the fun and our staff who worked tirelessly to make this event a resounding success. 

Special appreciation is extended to our PE team for planning and ensuring that the sports days ran seamlessly. Thank you for your hard work, passion and dedication to making our sports days a memorable and enjoyable occasion for our students.
