When one door closes another door opens. As we bring our academic year to an end we would like to inform you of some changes to our leadership team in October 2024. It is bittersweet that, in a few months, we will bid farewell to two dear members of our team as they embark on some new beginnings.
Ms Reena Bisht
Head of Inclusion
Ms. Reena joined ASPS this year and hit the ground running. Embodying our mission and vision she was quickly able to establish strong connections with staff, students and their parents. Our inclusion team has also benefited from her coaching and mentoring, a legacy we intend to carry with us. Ms Reena will be relocating to Al Ain in October 2024 with her family to explore pastures new. We wish her and her family all the best. Ms Reena is working hard to ensure a full handover to her successor.
Thank you Ms. Reena for all you brought to our school in such a short period of time.
Ms Shumaila Shazadi
Teaching & Learning/ Head of MSC
Ms. Shumaila is a long-standing member of ASPS’s leadership team. In her time here she has enriched our curriculum through her high-quality leadership of the MSC curriculum and team. MSC has become a firm favourite with students and we look forward to special events and projects. This academic year she contributed to academic improvements in her role as Lead for Teaching and Learning. We are committed to building upon the foundations she has laid. Ms, Shumaila will be leaving us in October 2024 to pursue an opportunity in senior leadership in a UAE school. We wish Ms Shumaila all the best in her future endeavours.
Thank you Ms. Shumaila for your commitment to our school and the innovative practices we will endeavour to advance upon!
We are thrilled to share the highlights of the colourful and fun-themed FS1 End of Year Assemblies and the Nursery and FS2 Graduation ceremonies that took place this week at ASPS.
The FS1 End of Year Assemblies were vibrant and joyful. The children showcased their talents through various performances, their energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and they have become confident speakers!
Our FS2 graduates, dressed in their red caps and gowns, marched confidently to the stage, marking a significant milestone in their early education journey. Learning new things was a significant part of our journey, but it was just as important to witness the love and friendship that flourished throughout the school year. These bonds have enriched our community and made our time together truly special.
It was a fitting end to an academic year filled with learning, growth and countless precious memories. We look forward to more exciting and fun occasions in the future, continuing to nurture and celebrate the achievements of our students.

Transitioning from Year 3 to Year 4 marks an exciting time for students as they continue to grow academically and personally. Our Year 3 students had a lovely time experiencing a preview of what awaits them in Year 4. They engaged in various activities, met their future teachers, and got a taste of the exciting new subjects and challenges they will encounter.
The MSC team is thrilled to announce the culmination of our MSC Projects, designed to enhance learning skills across all grade levels. Here’s what’s coming up:
Year 2: Students will be dressed up as a community helper and will showcase it through a parade followed by presentations
Years 3-6: The best projects, previously presented in class, will be displayed for everyone to admire.
Year 7: Their classroom will be transformed into a museum for the day.
Year 8: Experience a new country as they convert their classes into a unique cultural experience.
Year 9: Watch the documentaries they have created about significant historic events. These events promise to be a fantastic display of creativity, learning and collaboration.
Members of the Wellbeing Heroes and Student Council are arranging an End of Year event for all student in Secondary School (Year 7 to 9) on Friday 5th July. The Wacky Awards aim to celebrate the special quirks that make us all unique. With lots of activities, games and fun awards planned out, the day is bound to be extremely wacky. Students are asked to dress up in formals for the event and add a wacky accessory to their outfit to go with the theme of Elegant Eccentricity. The event will be held during the school day in the school gym.
An End of Year Survey was posted on the Wellbeing Google Classrooms for all students in Year 3 to 9 to complete. This survey is very important as it gives us an insight into trends about wellbeing that we need to focus on for the new academic year.
All students in Year 3 to Year 9 is asked to complete the survey. If your child has not completed the survey yet please ensure that they do so.
