We hope these guidelines clarify the payment process through the Zenda App. once again, thank you for your cooperation and timely attention to payments, which helps in the smooth organisation of events and trips for our students.
As the temperature rises, we need to ensure that the children are kept well hydrated and safe. Please ensure that you send your child into school with plenty of water in a bottle that is labelled with their name and class. Bottles can be refilled in school and additional water can also be purchased from the school canteen.
If the weather becomes too hot, the children will not be able to go outside to play and will need to remain indoors. We advise that you keep a hat/cap in their bag. Children should be wearing sunscreen too!
Starting Monday 13th May, students in Year 5 to 9 should be collected, after school, from their respective classrooms. The pick-up window will be from 2:20pm to 2:30pm Monday-Thursday ( 11:40am to 12:00pm on Fridays). For parents arriving after 2:30pm (12:00 pm on Fridays), please note that students can be collected from the MPS until 2:45 pm.
Parents with prams are to park them near the goal posts in the football ground to avoid congestion at the collection points.
Please note that the normal collection point and procedures will still be in place for students in Year 1 to 4.
We would like to remind all parents/guardians/carers that it is mandatory to wear the parent id during pick-up or while you are in the school premises. This helps us ensure the safety and security of all our students.
May is Mental Health Awareness month and our Wellbeing Heroes and Student Council are ready to have tough conversations around emotional and mental wellbeing at school. The next two weeks will be full of student-led assemblies, student surveys, support groups and awareness campaigns.
Our theme for the month is 5 Days, 5 Ways. For 5 days, from 13th to 17th May we will look at 5 ways students can improve their wellbeing and mental health. The details of these activities will be posted on the Wellbeing Classrooms.
Join us in boosting awareness for mental health by turning up the GREEN on Monday, 13th May! We invite all students and staff to wear green to demonstrate their support for Mental Health Awareness.
17th May is Gratitude Day
One of the ways to wellbeing is to give back to the community. A positive way of giving back is to show gratitude to the people around us who make a difference in their lives. As part of mental health week, we encourage students to make cards and give them to the people around them who work to support them in the background - our school helpers, support staff, cleaners, bus drivers and security.
We are excited to announce the upcoming CoderChamps Competition 2024 in partnership with Al Salam Community School for Primary and Secondary students.
The CoderChamps Competition aims to bring together talented students from both the schools to participate in coding challenges and showcase their skills in various programming languages and problem-solving scenarios within Scratch programming, pixel art, speed programming and hackathon challenges.
Our collaboration with ASCS will enhance the scope and reach of this event, enabling us to engage a broader audience of students. Through this competition, participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and learn from each other.
Students are engaged in exciting elimination rounds this week. The finalists will compete on 16th May 2024.
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome gifted and talented students from Al Diyafah Highschool, MSB Private School, Al Salam Community School and the new addition, Pristine Private School, competing enthusiastically for this year's ASPS Interschool Competition.
We are thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of our students in the following categories:
🥈2nd place in English Digital Escape Room challenge: Designed for Years 4, 5 and 6, the competition pushed participants to test their reading, spelling, punctuation and grammar skills through a series of captivating and mind-bending puzzles.
Zuha Tanveer from Year 4
Eshaan Abdul Sathar from Year 5
Raya Fatima Duenas Aqeel from Year 6
🥈2nd place in the Flight Fiesta competition under the Science category: One of the most exciting events was the Flight Fiesta in the Science category, with three students representing different year levels 7, 8 and 9 in a contest consisting of two parts: the Distance Contest and the Time Aloft Contest. The paper aeroplane challenges saw participants strive for maximum distance and airtime with their meticulously crafted aircraft.

We are proud of all students who took part in this year's interschool competition! Your sportsmanship, teamwork and ASPS spirit were truly inspiring. Special thanks to Ms. Nazish, our Gifter and Talented Coordinator, for organising the event and to our teachers and support staff for their hard work and support. Well done, everyone!
Alhamdulilah, we have had another successful year of various Ramadan competitions and challenges despite the limited school working days.
We are delighted to share with you pictures from our recent Ramadan Award Ceremonies, held for our Primary and Secondary students.
We appreciate all the parents who dedicated their time to attend these ceremonies. Your support and encouragement are instrumental in inspiring our students to achieve excellence and truly made these events memorable.
In recognition of the invaluable contribution of our Operations Team in ensuring the smooth execution of various school activities and events, our PALS group presented them with "Ramadan Al Khair Baskets" as tokens of appreciation.
These baskets are filled with thoughtful items symbolising the heartfulness of gratitude and sincere appreciation from the entire school community.
We would like to ensure that you have all the information you need to support your children's success this new term at ASPS. We encourage you to take the time to review the handbook thoroughly to stay informed about the happenings in the coming term.
Should you have any questions or concerns after reviewing the handbook, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We value your partnership in your child's education and are committed to ensuring a successful and rewarding Term 3 for all.
We would like to thank you for entrusting your children to us and for your intention to re-register them for the upcoming school year at ASPS.
As we move forward with the re-registration process, we kindly remind you that the re-registration fee of 1000 AED should be settled on or before 17th May 2024 to complete the re-registration and secure your child's seat. Please note that this amount is deductible from first term fees.
All previous outstanding fees and Term 3 fees of the current academic year should be cleared or settled prior to the re-registration payment that is due on 17th May 2024.
Students with any outstanding school fees may not be eligible to re-register for the following academic year.
You will still need to complete the re-registration form to inform us that you will not be returning so that we can ensure that you will receive the transfer documentation you require for the student at the end of this academic year.
You can visit the school to pay the school fees or you can also make the payment online or through ZENDA App.
Please note that if you have not confirmed your intention to re-register your child(ren) by settling the 1000 AED re-registration fee on or before the 17th of May, we will have to offer the seat to a new admission/student application.
If you have any concerns, please contact our Admissions Team by calling the school office or email admissions@alsalamschool.ae
