Week 10: Scene con't/Point of View

Mon 3/23--Read and comment on the three stories you received on Thursday.

    • Remember to comment politefully and thoughtfully.

      • Ask questions rather than make judgments when you're unclear about an aspect of the story.

      • Note what works as well as what needs work in the story.

    • Print out the copy and put your name on it.

Tues 3/24--This assignment has two parts:

    • Read chapter 6 in Burroway, "Fictional Time" (193-207)

    • Short journal assignment:

    • Describe a moment of great intensity in your life. Notice your writing process as you describe it. Does your writing change as it becomes more intense? You might write about the process of writing about the moment of intensity (meta-writing).

      • 300 words

Thurs 3/26--Story due to me (please discuss if you'd like an extension!).

    • Please follow the same guidelines as before.

    • You'll submit your story to turnitin.com (unless you have another preference).

Fri 3/27--Read "St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves" in Burroway, Writing Fiction, p. 172-184.
