2) Write your topic at the top of your post
If you're not sure what you want to write on, write down two-three possible topics
3) Do a 350 word (or longer) freewrite on your topic
By "freewrite," I mean write quickly, without editing, checking grammar, spelling, etc.
Write as quickly and unselfconsciously as you can
If you're not sure about your topic, you can split your freewrite between possible topics. For example, write 120 words on topic a, 120 words on topic b, 110 words on topic c.
Thursday 10/16: For tonight, please choose one of the following options
Simply freewrite on your topic and see where it leads you (800 words)
Notice what image/s come up around your topic and describe this/these images (400 words)
Experiment with writing on your topic with 2-3 different audiences in mind (500 words)
E.g. write directly to a problematic friend
Write about that friend in the third person, imagining your audience being another friend
Write about that friend, imagining your audience being me (Julie).
Write the intro and first body para and/or concluding paragraph/s (300 words)
Please post your work on Canvas.
