Weds 4/21— Read and take notes on "When Mr. Pirzada Came to Dine" in Interpreter of Maladies.

Thurs 4/22— Read and take notes on "Mrs. Sen's" (111-135) in IOM.

Fri 4/23—Quiz on Chapt. 9 of VEII; read about mood and voice in pink Workbook, pp. 84 & 85.

Tues 4/27— Read and take notes on "This Blessed House" in IOM.

Weds 4/28—CPS Day.

Thurs 4/29—Read and take notes on "The Third and Final Continent" in IOM.

Fri 4/30—Work on essay: freewrite 1 1/2 pages (500 words) on your topic.

Mon 5/3—Bring in an introductory paragraph with thesis as well as a tentative outline of the rest of the essay. Your outline should include 2-3 quotations per body paragraph.

Tues 5/4—Draft due of essay.

Weds 5/5—Essay due.

Thurs 5/6—Introduction to The Ramayana. Read and take notes on The Ramayana, pp. 3-21 (up to “thousand-eyed god”).

Fri 5/7— Quiz on Chapt. 10 of VEII; do exs. on agreement in Workbook, pp. 89-90.
