Weeks 5, 6, and 7
Mon 2/5 S:
Please review your two in-class essays on poetry and decide which one you'd like me to comment on and grade. Be ready to tell me during class.
If you're sure which essay you'd like me to comment on/grade, please email me your choice Sunday night. That way, I can get started on reading the set and get comments back to you sooner.
Pick a poem you really like:
You can look for a poem here: Poetry Foundation
Or here: American Academy of Poets
If you prefer, you can pick a poem from another source
You can bring in a song that you think has lyrics that work without music
Make sure your poem or song is appropriate for class (no offensive language, please!)
Type your poem on a word document to bring to class today.
If you have any visuals that would enhance your poem (photographs, drawings, photo of the poet, etc.), please bring these to class as well.
