Week 16: Revision cont'd

Mon 5/11:

1) Look through your old writings for the class. Select something you'd like to read out loud to your classmates and share on a Google doc. What you share can be one of your stories or it could be a freewrite or another piece of writing (homework assignment, in-class exercise, etc.) you did for the class.

2) On Thursday night, 5/14, you'll put your story or a freewrite or a homework assignment on the shared Google doc. We'll read aloud from this doc on Friday--the last day for the seniors--as part of a little celebration for them.

Weds 5/13: Read "Revisioning the Great Gatsby" in your reader: 47-57 (reader numbers).

    • Think about what makes for a great writer-editor relationship.

    • Please look at the manuscript version (earlier draft) of The Gatsby here.

      • Thank you, Dr. P, for finding and copying this manuscript!

    • Compare this draft with the published version of Gatsby

Fri 5/15: Revision due and reading in class (final day for the seniors)

  • Put your story or a freewrite or a homework assignment on the shared Google doc I'll make. We'll read aloud from this doc on Friday--the last day for the seniors.

  • Revision:

      • Instructions are here.

      • Please remember to write the reflections on your revision directly underneath the revision (on the same doc).

      • This is a requirement for your revision and you'll lose points if you don't include this.
