Th 2/2 L: Read and annotate "Ozymandias" on p. 26 of your reader.

Fri 2/3 S: Practice essay #2

    • Do not open until you have 40 uninterrupted minutes in which to take the practice essay.

      • Try to simulate actual test conditions (e.g. time yourself, write in a quiet place)

      • Have your reader and a pencil ready (the poem is in the reader)

Fri 2/10-- L: Grammar Day!

  • Review participles and gerunds

    • Re-read about participles in HGW, pp. 130 -132 and Workbook, p. 51 and do exercises on p. 52.

      • Review gerunds in Workbook, pp. 53 & 54 and do exercises on p. 53.

  • Read about infinitives in Workbook p. 58 and start exercises on p. 59.

  • Also, read and take notes on Gatsby, Chapter 1 (we'll discuss on Monday).

For English 1, '18: Grammar

  • Gerunds; read about gerunds in Workbook, pp. 53 & 54 and do exercises on p. 53.

  • Participles: read about participles in HGW, pp. 130 -132 and Workbook, p. 51 and do exercises on p. 52.
