Monday, 1/31 – Review of midyear exam; introduction to Shakespeare and Twelfth Night

Tuesday, 2/1 – Twelfth Night: Act I, scene 1

Wednesday, 2/2 – Twelfth Night: Act I, scenes 2 &3

Thursday, 2/3 – Twelfth Night: Act I, scenes 4 & 5. ALSO: please answer the reflection questions and revise ONE paragraph of your poetry analysis. You may revise a paragraph of either your analysis of "The Crabs" or of Edna St. Vincent Millay's sonnet. Post your answers to the reflection questions and your revision in your personal website under REFLECTIONS ON WRITING.

Friday, 2/4 – Vocab Quiz on Chapter 1 of VEII (the green one); read about participles in HGW, pp. 130 -132 and Workbook, p. 51 and do exercises on p. 52.

Week 2

Monday, 2/7 Twelfth Night: Act II, scenes 1 & 2

Tuesday, 2/8 – Twelfth Night: Act II, scene 3

Wednesday, 2/9 – In-class writing on Twelfth Night : Act II, scene 4

Thursday, 2/10 –Twelfth Night: Act II, scene 5 (discuss scenes 4 & 5 in class)

Friday, 2/11 – Vocab quiz on VEII, Chapter 2; read about gerunds in Workbook, pp. 53 & 54 and do exercises on p. 53

Week 3

Monday, 2/14 –Twelfth Night: Act III, scenes 1 & 2

Tuesday, 2/15 – Twelfth Night: Act III, scenes 3& 4 (read to pg. 119, line 150)

Wednesday, 2/16 – Twelfth Night: Finish Act III

Thursday, 2/17 – Twelfth Night: Act IV

Friday, 2/18 – Vocab quiz on VEII, Chapter 3; read about infinitives in Wordbook, p. 58 and start exercises on p. 59.
