Please review your two in-class essays on poetry and decide which one you'd like me to comment on and grade.
In class, you'll fill out a reflection sheet on which poem you're choosing and why
Grammar Review
At home, please review parts of speech (noun, pronoun, vb, adj, adv, conj, prep) and functions of words (subj, verb, d.o., i.o., object of prep, p.a., p.n.)
In class, you'll do two grammar review sheets
Weds: Common classroom on grammar! If you need some extra practice or are just feeling a little rusty, please attend! Make sure to sign up online.
Weds 2/12 (Block F) or Thurs 2/13 (Block C) L:
Gerunds; read about gerunds in Workbook, pp. 53 & 54 and do exercises on p. 53.
Participles: read about participles in HGW, pp. 130 -132 and Workbook, p. 51 and do exercises on p. 52.
Note: if you have extra time and feel shaky on grammar, please use the time to review old exercises on parts of speech and sentence elements.
Fri 2/14 S:
Read about infinitives in Workbook p. 58 and start exercises on p. 59.
Also, do verbal review on page 61 of pink workbook.
Mon 2/17 No school
