Mon 3/14--Read and take notes on Twelfth Night, Act IV.

Tues 3/15--Read and take notes on Twelfth Night, Act V, pp. 161-175, line 218.

Weds 3/16--Finish Twelfth Night. Socratic seminar

• • Please review the questions on the Socratic seminar handout (see attached)

Thurs 3/17--In-class essay on Twelfth Night.

• • Review the themes of the play, focusing on Act I, sc 5 (between Olivia and Viola).

  • It might be helpful to look at these samples to review what a good in-class essay should do:

  • "Vapour Trail"

  • "Boy at the Window"

    • Note that neither of these essays is perfect (as no essay really ever is), but both do a very good job at analyzing the poems on a deeper level
