imaginary mythical creatures 

Grade 10 Visual Arts students studied mythical designs from varied cultures as inspiration for designing their own imaginary mythological creatures. They chose superpowers for each of their mythical creatures, which would address specific humanitarian or global concerns and help towards improving the human condition. 

The mythical creatures are made up of animal and plant parts and abstract designs, that have the potential to symbolize the creature’s superpower. 

Art can initiate awareness of important global concerns, consequently, increasing the possibility of change towards improving the human condition.
