If you extended the lifespan of your clothes by an extra 9 months, you’d reduce your carbon emissions by 25-30%! (SOURCE)
Nearly 70 million barrels of oil are used each year to make polyester fiber, one of the most commonly used fiber in our clothing (SOURCE)
Fast fashion garments (worn less than 5 times, kept for 35 days) produce over 400% more carbon emissions per item/year than garments worn 50 times and kept for a full year (SOURCE)
If you extended the lifespan of your clothes by an extra 9 months, you’d reduce your carbon emissions by 25-30%! (SOURCE)
