Board Game day
Watched all the good movies and shows on Netflix? Too cold to go outside? Grab a friend or family member, a blanket, and board game. Pull out a classic Uno, or something more competitive like Monopoly, and you have hours of fun ahead of you!
Build a fort
Take a trip down memory lane and build a fort. Inside, outside, you can really do this anywhere with anything. Blankets, sticks, or if you’re feeling risky, take on a toilet paper fort.
Go for a hike
Be brave, bundle up, and take on the cold! Take a walk on the beach boardwalk, go for a hike on your favourite trail, or just explore your neighborhood. The fresh air will make you feel so refreshed and the physical activity is good for your mind, body, and soul.
Bake bread
Remember 2020 when we were all weirdly obsessed with bread? Bring it back this Winter Break. There are endless flavours, sizes, shapes, and types of bread you can choose from. A homemade loaf will also serve as an amazing winter holiday present if you accidentally forgot to get some gifts.
Go bowling
Get competitive during a fun game of retro bowling. It’s fun, vintage and won’t break the bank, especially since you may be low on funds after getting your holiday gifts. Bonus points for wearing silly shoes.
Take a nap
Use this time to catch up on all the things that school deprives you of.
Do some yoga
If you aren’t a fan of the cold weather, yoga is a great way to stay inside while doing some low impact physical exercise. Try some gentle yoga or stretching at home to center your mind.
Do a face mask
Especially with the cold weather that seems to take all the life and moisture out of our skin, doing a mud mask or sheet mask is an amazing way to rehydrate your skin and relax. It is also a great way to multitask and get two productive things done at once.
Go sledding
Get out there and enjoy the snow before you’re swamped with work again. If you don’t have a proper sled, you can use a broken down cardboard box or laundry basket, but you might want to wear a helmet, just in case.
Have a snowball fight
A free chance to throw something at a sibling or friend with an excuse if you hurt them? Definitely worth the cold.
