HOT TAKE: bring back ball gowns for prom dresses!!
Have any of you watched an old highschool movie recently? Did you notice anything about their prom dresses? YES, you’re correct. They were extravagant, over the top, and delightful! We miss the trains, the flow, the big skirts… Where are the dresses that Marie Antoinette would’ve worn to her functions? THESE authors are missing the camp, the flamboyance, the excess of these old dresses. I hope you think of this article as you’re deciding between two $150 cocktail dresses that you’re going to wear once. Maybe when you’re looking for your next prom dress, take a walk to the nearest bridal boutique and get the most lavish dress they sell in lilac!
Speaking of wedding dresses… have you seen our prom venue? If you and your “dynamic duo,” (as Ms. Chan likes to call it) feel like making it official, you’re already halfway down the aisle. Side note for the juniors.. don’t propose cause you don't wanna upstage the seniors last moment to shine!
