Soldiers
I write this poem in honours sake,
For people like Mr. John McCrae,
Who fought and fought till the very last day,
Not even fear could keep them away,
From protecting their families and saving the day,
Like a knight and his castle as we watched in dismay,
their people it's just really hard to believe,
that the soldiers were people like you and like me,
no matter their bravery, courage, and fight,
They shared courage so I will tonight.
Soldiers.

On the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, we recognize and honour the soldiers who fought to keep us, our family, and our country safe.
Who are soldiers?
Are they people with courage?
Are they people who fight for our country?
Who are soldiers?
Are they people who see a cause greater than their life?
Are they people willing to give up everything for a stranger?
Who are soldiers?
Are they people who fight for peace and restore safety?
Are they people who have big hearts and take action?
Who are soldiers?
Soldiers are heroes.
