I was going to write such a formal article this week advertising some grad student’s film being shown in media club, but Mr. Corsano told me not to yet so you guys get this. Go to that film showing. I’ll write about it next week.
Brooklyn has her rants and this week I’m going to be telling some stories about things that have happened to me. If you are easily entertained, you’re welcome. If you don’t care about my life, bye, no need to complain about it.
Let us begin the storytime…
So the other day my dad and I were talking about my future career as the best film director ever and he asked me how I planned to make money getting started, to which I listed co-curriculars I do that give teaching certifications. You know, the usual, swimming, drama, singing, arson. He goes, “I think you’d be a good standup comedian.” Which like, if there’s one thing that makes less money than film, but also, I’m not funny. I don’t know, maybe I can be in certain contexts but typically I make references no one gets and then laugh at my own jokes. Not great.
I went to Palm Springs over the long weekend because my mom went to college in California and has an apartment there. While there I met a director guy and his producer wife in a park and his mom needs a place in Palm Springs. My mom got their contact info in case a place in our complex opens up. They got to talking and he told her if I ever have a movie idea and script I should share it with him. So now I’m writing a movie. If you want anything to do with it (even just beta reading, I need editors) let me know gang.
I was watching Almost Famous a couple weekends ago. I was having such a good time existing in seventies culture and then Jimmy Fallon appeared on screen. No offense to Jimmy Fallon, but he can’t act super well and was definitely not a music agent in the seventies. Get out of my teen comedy, where is William.
I really want to go on the butter tart tour of Ontario this summer. You guys don’t understand. I am so not normal about butter tarts. They are my passion. So I Facetimed my dad yesterday during advisor (with Ms. Chau in the drama room) and asked if we could go this summer and he said he was going to suggest our vacation be to Europe but he’ll look into it. No regrets, chase your dreams folks. My dreams is butter tarts.
I learned how to do this hairstyle and now I’m wearing it to bed and it’s so good. It’s a kind of rope-twisty-braid-thing. You separate your hair into two parts and twist them each clockwise, then wind them around each other counterclockwise and the friction holds them in place. And it looks so cute and kind of gives my hair some texture which it desperately needs. 10/10 hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
Anyway, thanks for reading! I’m going to go be a model for some project in ICE class.
