DO YOU want to participate in an experiment?!?!?!Ā Ā
Seriously DO YOU? Because now you can, introducing the Parkinson's project aka the t.p.p. The Parkinson's project is a project run by two 7th grade students: Aiden Bahall and Dara Khalili. Their goal is to collect data from non-parkinson's subjects to create an AI that can find if you have Parkinsonās disease!!!(crazy right). The experiment in question is a simple clicking test. Now I promised I was going to write an article about something, so this is the article:I will explain how we are going to create the robot. Before we begin, here is a bit of background info. People with parkinson's tend to have a quieter voice with less fluctuations (fluctuations in very simple terms means when your voice changes volume of pitch very quickly and changes by a lot). Now that you are armed with this information let me explain how the robot works, basically it turns your voice into numerical data. Then after that, the AI analyzes your voice, finds different fluctuations in your voice and also finds how much percent of the time your voice is loud. And then after all of that it will find if you have parkinsons. Sadly the device is still in its testing phase and I need data to feed the AI. This is where you guys come in, since I need data for the AI. If you can, please come to the middle school commons on Thursday Dec 12th if you are interested in participating. (btw if you are in high school, you can come to. We need a wider range of subject age to see how it affects the scores.)
