Lyla and I are here to give you our definitive review of each of the new Starbucks holiday menu. ‘New’ may be a stretch… Most of these items are not at all new, having seen them on the holiday menu in years past, but nonetheless, we gave every item a shot!
Gingerbread Loaf
Lyla 4.5/5, Max 3/5
The gingerbread loaf had an unexpected orange flavor, but this did not take away from it’s flavor status as a delicious seasonal holiday treat.
Hot Sugar Cookie Oat Latte
Max and Lyla 1/5
Sprinkles are crunchy and get stuck in your teeth which is a safety hazard, the combination of flavors was not great and was not reminiscent of a sugar cookie and the oat did not add much to the flavor.
Iced Gingerbread Oat Chai
Lyla 3/5, Max 2/5
This was a very strong drink, the flavours were very poignant, however the first sip was so yummy but after the first sip you can’t drink any more because it’s way too sweet.
Hot Chestnut Praline Latte
Lyla 4/5, Max 3/5
While it sounds appetizing and strange, the chestnut praline was an extraordinarily strong drink for people who like coffee. It’s great for people who like coffee and enjoy the nutty flavor of praline.
Hot Caramel Brulee Latte
Lyla 1/5, Max 2/5
This drink was an abomination. It was too sweet, most flavourful but the flavors were bad, and the crunchy pieces of caramel got stuck in our teeth and were difficult to remove.
