May is Asian Heritage Month, a time when we recognize and celebrate the diversity and contributions of those of Asian origin. The library has compiled a list of suggested reading by Asian authors and featuring Asian stories. Check it out here!
As many of you may know, our Middle School participated in two trees of the Forest of Reading, a national reading program: Red Maple (Fiction for Grades 6-8) and Yellow Cedar (Nonfiction for Grades 5-8). Below are the results from the national vote! If you are interested in checking out any of these titles, please stop by the library or head onto Sora.
Attention all Middle Schoolers! As you may know, this year's Forest of Reading program has just been launched by our Teacher Book Ambassadors and Library Team! To find out more about what Forest of Reading is, which books have been nominated and how you can get involved, read on.
This winter break, grade 11 student Dori Seeman set out on a challenge to read one book a day. She completed the holiday season after reading 18 books, so with this absolutely extensive knowledge, decided to write a top five list. Scroll to the bottom for a few honourable mentions and books she really disliked!
As the library clears out some old books to make room for new and better titles, Annie Wasserman gives us 8 ideas for how to have fun with these books, other than just reading them. Everyone in the Middle and Senior School is encouraged to stop by the library to take a look!
