After watching the new Superman movie with friends, I can confidently say that it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. From the cinematography to the acting to the storyline of this movie, I truly don't think I can say what could be better, and in fact, I will go as far as saying that I think this could be in my top 5 movies ever. Many people would think that Superman would be the star of the show; however, I think otherwise. In fact, Krypto (super dog) gained all the laughs and stole every scene he was in. I think this movie was a great comeback for DC, and I think Marvel will find it hard to bounce back from this.

Cinematography 9/10
The cinematography in Superman was great. I especially loved the fight scenes where the cameras had wider shots on the fight rather than a blur effect; a lot of fight-heavy movies have
Plot 8.5/10
The plot of Superman was also excellent, with many twists throughout the movie. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time, not knowing what will happen next.
Acting 8/10
David Corenswet was a good Superman, in my opinion. The acting was definitely good, but nothing special. The best actor in the movie was Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. He made a villain, and the movie wouldn't have been the same with a different actor.
Pacing 9.5/10
The pacing of Superman was amazing. It is only 2 hours and 9 minutes with plenty of twists. The story has you hooked on whale time. The start of the movie is also very fast. The characters and plot are introduced immediately, which I really enjoyed.
Ending 10/10
The ending of the movie is the best part. With around a 10-minute fight scene and a huge twist, the ending really brings the whole movie together. The ending of the movie also reveals a theme: Who you are is defined by your own choices, not by what others try to impose upon you.
Overall, the movie is a 9/10 and a must-watch
