Top 5 best nap spots; a review
After reading Madeleine Warren's Article on the stand expressing where to take naps during school breaks, I was extremely intrigued, and just had to try out all of the spots. Here is a review of her spots.
1 - Wellness couches
I have to utterly completely agree with the idea that the wellness centre couches are the best place to nap. Especially when it's not too busy. I love napping there during lunch.
2 - Booths in Cafeteria
Again another banger from Maddie. The cafeteria booths are my personal favorite when it comes to taking a nap. I get to nap and munch on something from the cafe. Double Whammy!
3- 210 couch
I was a little iffy on this take. As someone who has had a class in room 210, the people who sit on that couch tend to be the more extroverted classmates who aren't afraid to get up in front of the class and move to the couch. As someone who used to be scared of what others thought, I would personally not recommend this couch as a nap spot if you are an introvert, or want to pay attention in class.
4 - Half circle learning commons
I personally love this private nook, especially for the use of a good beauty sleep. I do think it is rather ironic that the author of this article placed it in the top five, but when asked to sit there with a friend they responded “no, I would like to nap.” It really makes you question the authenticity of this article that is being critiqued.
5 - Dog Beds
This is the worst place to nap. I completely disagree with this. The dog beds in the learning commons should not be used at all. Imagine sitting at a table doing work and then seeing someone sleep on a bed made for an animal next to you. You will never catch me sleeping on the dog beds in the learning commons and I advise that nobody else does this for the sake of my sanity and their own.
