When it comes to watching a sport I don’t know much about, I love to root for the underdog. It’s exciting to do, like you’re cheering for the main character to take down the evil villain. In this case the Kansas City Chiefs are the villains, even if the Eagles are technically more likely to win. Why? A few reasons. First, they won the super bowl last year. Being the reigning champions makes them less enticing to cheer for, because it's more interesting to see new teams have a taste of glory. Second, they knocked out the Buffalo Bills. If you have Mr. Eaton for any class, you know how brutal that is. Finally, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Come on, those two have got to be the most insane plot armor to ever exist on earth. They were all the talk last year, and will definitely get tons of attention again, unjustly so in my opinion. Taylor is a bit like Bronny James. Doesn’t do anything, but gets tons of attention. The two being together also creates a lot of potential for a ton of crazy scenarios. Imagine Travis Kelce does for a winning touchdown, in the last seconds of the final quarter, but then he misses, Eagles win, and Taylor breaks up with him. It would be cinema. Also if the Chiefs win I know damn well Kelce is proposing. Just give us a break bro 💔.
A few more reasons why to cheer for the Eagles:
Cool name, especially compared to the chiefs (What is a Kansas City Chief fr)
Better logo - Well drawn bird v. a boring red arrowhead.
Better fans - Chief fans are the most annoying people to be around, don’t roll with them
So, when the big game rolls around on Sunday, who will you cheer for? The Eagles, who have to take down their looming opponents in an exciting turn, and claim the limelight for themselves, or the Chiefs, who already stand on top and threaten to claim the Super Bowl’s glory yet again?
