The York School Community Service and Wellbeing Committees are bringing awareness to Movember at The York School. Movember is the largest men’s health moment in the world. It focuses on mental health, prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide prevention. On Thursday, students were invited to attend a lunch and learn at the Community Service meeting focusing on education and awareness of Movember. On Thursday, November 17, students are invited to go to the Fitness Centre at lunch to participate in Move for Movember. There will be several fitness stations, a photo booth and button making.
For further information on Movember you can also visit the organization’s website. (Linked in The Stand's previous Movember article, accessible on our home page and in the Community Column sub-page)
You can also watch Mr. McNeill's insightful Movember presentation on York Reflects, detailing his personal connection to the organization, the importance of supporting men's health and what we can do as a school community to raise awareness.
