While all these seasons are great and introduce you to many of the game's best players, they do include spoilers for other seasons. *More rankings on the returning player seasons coming soon…*

Now moving on to the top 10 seasons to watch with no returning players….

#10: Survivor 45

Starting off with Survivor 45, this season was the first season which featured 90 minute episodes, allowing for more depth in each character's story and narrative, as well as more camp life shown. This season does a great job of combining New Era (seasons 40-50) twists with Old Era (seasons 1-40) gameplay. There is a dynamic cast and a great mixture of strategy and fun!

#9: Survivor 48

Survivor 48, this season has a very promising cast with more big characters than usual. It’s got some emotional moments but never a riveting one. Both the pre and post merge stages were very promising featuring a great balance of strategy, deception, and fun while once again involving some old school gameplay focused on loyalty.

#8: Survivor (37) - David vs Goliath

David vs Goliath is often described as having one of the best castings of the show. There are many stand out characters, iconic moments, and a constant premise/theme that delivers every step of the way.

#7: Survivor 49

Season 49 is a good season throughout. The pre-merge stages have some unique moments and even briefly switches back to the two tribe format, a format not seen since season 40. The cast is very dynamic and there is a good combination of theatrics and loyalty throughout.

#6: Survivor 42

Season 42 was a refined and much better executed version of the chaotic season of survivor 41 (both filmed back to back during Covid). It had a cast that was very fun to watch, amazing personalities, and power players who make deep runs. For those who love twists and strategy this is a great season and has arguably one of the best final tribal speeches ever, and a very deserving, memorable winner.

#5: Survivor (15) - China

Survivor China was an amazing season back when Survivor used to change locations each season (now it's permanently in Fiji). There was a great use of the location in challenges and a unique cast. This season is also known for many iconic moments and a great demonstration of old school gameplay.

#4: Survivor 47

Season 47 is arguably the best season of the New Era. It has a memorable cast, some crazy moves, and an amazing blend of gameplay between strategy and loyalty. Each episode is interesting and keeps you on your toes, and the winner masterfully outplays and outsmarts the others.

#3: Survivor (28) - Cagayan

Cagayan is often at the top of people's lists for best season due to its amazing theme (Brains vs Brawns vs Beauty), amazing cast, and amazing gameplay. This season also has various iconic moments and introduces us to many of the players to go on to play additional seasons. Every episode is entertaining and it is truly an essential season to watch.

#2: Survivor (29) - San Juan Del Sur

While not recognized by everyone, this is our personal favourite season. It has an amazing theme in which two players who are connected outside of the game enter the game together but are separated into separate tribes. It combines family drama, tribe drama, and a super fun cast to watch. There is also a great strategic gameplay employed throughout this season and so many characters to root for. Ultimately the winner has an amazing story and is looked at as in the top 10 of best Survivor winners. Truly an amazing season!

#1: Survivor (7) - Pearl Islands

Survivor Pearl Islands is one of the best seasons of all time. It hooks you from the start and never lets up. The show's all-time greatest villain executes what may be the most talked-about moment in reality-TV history. It also features a great mixture of social gameplay, strategy, twists, and the use of Peal Islands as a location. The pirate theme is also very well developed throughout the season and the season crowns a deserving winner who deploys a unique strategy not as prevalent in the new era of Survivor.
