RECOGNIZING ASIAN HERITAGE MONTH (AHM)

May is Asian Heritage Month, an opportunity for us to learn more about the diverse culture and history of Asian communities in Canada and acknowledge those who have made a significant contribution to our country today and in the past. This year’s theme is Stories of Determination, a reminder for us to come together against anti-Asian racism and discrimination of all forms.

Dori Seaman created a QUIZ in honour of this month that we hope you can play before Monday May, 22nd to win house points.

For more resources, check out this website with facts and figures, info on noteworthy Canadians of Asian origin, and more about the history of Asian Heritage month. The Student Council put up a display of influential and notable Asian people around the world in the cafe as well. The purpose of this is for people to look up the names of these individuals to learn more about them.
