Extra Curricular Activities Conduct and Discipline

 

The principal is the responsible agent in the school and must determine and administer conduct and discipline regarding all extra-curricular activities.

 

The following is a listing of policies regarding the extra activities outside of the regular school day:

 

1.  One administrator and at least one sponsor must attend every function at the high school.

2.  There shall be no alcoholic beverages or any illegal drugs permitted on any person or brought into the school by any person.

3.  Conduct at all extra-curricular activities is expected t o be similar as to conduct during regular school hours.

4.  General personal dress shall be of regular, daily standards; however, no formal dress code is established regarding extra events.

5.  During athletic contests, band parades and concerts, school socials and dances and all activities and transportation, an attempt is made to enforce and maintain a standard procedure of regulation with authorized employees of the Clay County Board of Education.

6.  The school has the responsibility and authority in providing clean, decent, organized and disciplined extra-curricular events.

7.  Basically, procedures established for outside events coincide with normal daily procedures. The guidelines used have been approved by the Clay County Board of Education.

8.  Any additional infractions as t o abusive language, damage or destroying school property, fighting or inciting a fight, etc., will be dealt with immediately based on each individual situation.
