Unexpired Term Fulfillment

     The County Board of Education shall, by appointment, fill within thirty days any vacancy that occurs in its

membership. An appointment shall continue until the next primary or general election. However, should a vacancy

occur less than forty-two days preceding a primary election date, the vacancy will be filled by appointment until

the next succeeding primary or general election.

     In the event that the Board is unable to agree upon a candidate within thirty days, an appointment shall be

made by the State Superintendent of Schools.
