CRISIS INTERVENTION

The Clay County Board of Education believes that in order to meet the needs of Clay County students in times of crisis or emergency, that a trained Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) shall be available for response.

The Crisis Intervention Team shall be comprised of Clay County Board of Education employees and appropriate community members who have had crisis intervention training.

In the event of an emergency or crisis, the Superintendent or designee will determine if the need is warranted for the involvement of the Team and if so, the level of response required. It shall be the responsibility of the Superintendent or designee to dispatch Team members based on need.
