Mission

Competence Plus Commitment Equals Success

To achieve competence in the professional and service personnel work force through effective staff development, constructive supervision, evaluation of work skills, and trust in the ability of our employees.

To achieve competence in students through skilled instruction, innovative school programs, provision of opportunities to demonstrate talents and abilities, purposeful management of student behavior, diverse student support services, and development of work readiness skills.

To achieve commitment among staff and students through a shared vision of success for the Clay County School System and a belief that the school system can and will meet the instructional, social and emotional need of students.

To achieve commitment of the community through parent and citizen involvement, shared decision making, and effective communication.

And finally, through emphasis on competence and commitment, to achieve success as measured by grade level or better performance by 95% of our students, distinguished performance of students in events which involve competition, and student conduct consistent with good citizenship.
