Curriculum Development
The superintendent of schools shall, on an annual basis, select a committee of professional instructional personnel to review curricula according to the following schedule:
1992: Mathematics
1993: Science and Health
1994: Driver Education and Combined Kindergarten Subjects
1995: Reading, Spelling, Secondary English Literature
1996: English, Handwriting, Secondary English Grammar, Speech
1997: Social Studies, Art, Music
1998: Repeat Cycle
Committees selected by the superintendent of schools shall revise curricula based on state learner outcomes and measured needs of Clay County students.
Curricula for secondary elective and vocational courses not included in the categories above shall be revised as needed or as scheduled by the superintendent of schools.
This policy does not preclude the revision of curricula on a more frequent basis than described above if revisions are deemed necessary by the superintendent of schools or other appropriate professional instructional staff.
